Last year when I applied YW in first round, the teacher who answered  the phone also has similar response. However, I have asked her help to call the pastor- in -charge to confirm that we would have the 5 points from the same religion. The teacher was very helpful and called immediately to the responsible person and returned call immediately. I think you can ask for such confirmation before you submit your application form. P6 in this year will be 1st group to attend F1 of Ying Wa College through 一條龍 and it is make sense to provide them more academic training in English as it is much easier for them to adopt from Chinese lang teaching to English one in Secondary school.

Indeed, most of schools have provided intensive training for P6 even P5 in order to ensure good result in 中一編班試 and secure 英語教學 after 2010.

If you still worry, it is better to get more precise info from your son's form teacher.

My son told me that the class was for some elites but he didn’t tell me for the first 30 in P6.  He is going to join the class but today he told me some of his classmates will not join due to some other activities.
These few days he also complained to me that so much homework and during the recess time or lunch hour “Homework is not allowed”.  I noticed from his homework, it took quite a lot of time in looking the words in the Chinese Dictionary which was quite time consuming.   I hope may be that is the beginning of the school term, he will adapt to that later.

我仔仔跟我說今天他很努力地爭取小息時做了一些功課，是不準的嗎？
下禮拜起他一星期有四天都要六點多才回家，去除吃飯時間，做功課的時間真的不多，我叫他在學校盡量做點。

My boy told me that no homework shall be done during recess/lunch time because teachers said recess/lunch time are for rest/play wor!

I do consider the prohibition is ridiculous esp. for those kids who has joined many school teams/after-school lessons such as Anson. They simply don't have sufficient time to do their homework/practise musical instruments after the training/lessons.

And more trouble is no school bus if you join for after school training.  My maid has to put my younger son into my sister's home and go to take Anson.  Moreover, with these after school activities, its much more cheaper to take a taxi to school, but my sons like to take school bus   so have to pay more.

My son also stay later on for the first 2 days this week when he has badminton and swimming class: The school also have their point to relax the kids in recess and lunch so that they can have clear mind for the next class, but I really have to struggle for the time.  Luckily his badminton class is off and I can put him back into bed earlier.

Yes, it is really troublesome for no school bus after school activities as we have two sons but with one maid only. You're lucky than me as your sister lives close to you. I'm trying to train up my elder son to return home on his own, but I'm still quite worry about it. It's a headache!

活動後的接送,似乎都是每一間學校的問題!
學校和校巴也有難處,我也因為這樣,沒有給matthew太多學校的活動,但似乎都幾難解決.
我也覺得學校在功課方面可以慢少少,有些學校這個星期才正常上課時間,但我們就巳經教第二課,好似太急了,(上星期matthew話同校車的5年級同學有10樣功課,他們也有6樣,)希望可以給小朋友長少少的適應空間!

The homework of P1 is acceptable for me.  Actually it is very simple, but my son is still adapting and forgeting this and that. I am OK if no sport/music class follow school.
