For School ECA, except for some activities which lasts throughout the 2 terms, eg brownies, the kids can change to another activity in Term 2.

I also wonder why it will start so early this year!!

If I am not mistaken, such event seemed to start from 9:00 a.m. in previous years.

Besides cultivating a healthy life for our children, I guess the school would like the parents to have the same good habit as well.

My daughter's ECA was just confirmed today.  She granted the first choice - Japanese Culture Club.

But, we still have no news from the musical instrucment.  Don't know what the arrangement would be.  Maybe we could ask the class teacher tomorrow.

Ar... just want to know if the score in those English Password tests is important.  Aiya... my daughter just made 2 careless mistake in the password test !!

Yes... the training of the school team is quite tough.  But, as you said, our kids need to be trained to accept more challeges. haha...

By the way, maybe I have missed the notice of the audition of atheletic school team.  My daughter likes running as well.  hahha... it may be good to miss out this one because there are really too many choices for the P1 kids and parent.  All the activities seem to be very attractive !!

Do you feel that the homework so far is too much?  There are some parents complaining about that at today's parents meeting.  But we think it is okay compared to other schools.

-        likely becos last yr's P6 will have graduation lunch tomorrow in a hotel in Tung Chung, and the bus will leave school for Tung Chung at 10:30 am. so teachers who take the bus can catch it.  My guess only.

-        Oh………….. I see.   That explains why it needed to be started so early this morning.
The graduation lunch used to be held much earlier.     But due to the outbreak of the H1N1 before the summer holiday, it has been postponed until today this year.

Parent of senior grades is really informative!!

um...我都覺得ok, 唔係太多。我朋友仔間小學, 小一每日起碼7樣, 上到小二, 週末有18樣...都唔知點解d老師可以唸到咁多功課比佢地....得人驚....

2 parents in my daughter's class complain about the English and French vocab. list.  They said it is not reasonable to have the long vocab list for both subjects.   The kids are not able to memorise all, in particular,  in the first month of the kids' primary school life.  

BTW, both of the parents are not Chinese.  

hmm.. I think the workload is quite ok.  However, my daughter finds a bit difficult to catch up the Chinese subject.  Her writing is still not good.  The Chinese teacher is quite strict in correcting her writing.  Well... I think both the pressure and workload is still acceptable.

Ar... I think many parents in my daughter's class asked this question.  The class teacher gave us the answer before inviting questions from the floor.

The teacher said that for English subject, they would require the students to keep continuous revision on spelling and class worksheet.  The password test is one of the them.   They would not inform the student before the test.  It is to verify if they learnt what they are required to learn.  It is not counted in the yearly score.

There was a chinese mom in my kid's class complaining about the homework workload.  She claimed that the amout of homework is almost the same as her daughter's when she was a P5 student in TSL a couple of years ago.

For me, the homework is acceptable and most of time my son has completed partial during homework class....  Sometimes, it only has 2 items and just only take an half hour to complete... still have a lot of time...
