Remember I mentioned earlier a couple weeks ago that Preston still used the milk bottle. Somehow my maid trained him to use the cup for milk now successfully (only in the afternoon), am and night still needs the bottle. At least one step ahead.
He is slow and stubborn in changing a habit. Still working on getting rid of the nappy at night.

It's good to know that Preston started having milk using cup.

Brian didn't wear nappy since August.  So far, he has only wet the bed twice.  He didn't wake up at night for toilet, so I asked him to do so after brushing his teeth every night.

Not only kids, we sometimes are stubborn.   So, it's understandable that Preston insisted using bottles.

It's good that Brian only wet the bed twice.  Though Davin does go to toilet before sleep, sometimes his nappy is still wet.  He is fine without nappy. Yet, for the sake of convenience & hygiene, I'd better keep him with nappy on during sleep at night.

Good for Brian. Although he weewee b4 sleep, his nappy is still wet, sometimes very wet My maid does get up at the middle of night to make him weewee, but sometimes it's wet already. I guess he's not too ready yet, will keep trying.

I stopped letting Brian wearing nappy at night after I found that his nappy kept dried for over a month.

By the way.  Did Preston sleep well after he woke up for weewee?  I think there is no problem in letting him wet the nappy at this age.  He can keep the nappy dry soon when the related muscles are ready.

I'd rather not wake him up during the night for toilet time.  He could sleep well now at night & I'd prefer not to interrupt & I want to sleep as well.

Actually I didn't really force him to get rid of the nappy at night. But my maid just wakes up at night and tried to get Preston weewee. Most of the time he refused and on occasion, his nappy was dry (only maybe once a week). Anyway, since my maid doesn't mind, will try again until the weather is cold. Otherwise, maybe need to wait until next year.

See.  So, it's your helper & not you who wakes up.  I also don't see any hurry if his nappy is still wet for most of the days.  Naturally, I believe that kids will get rid of nappy during sleep at night.

My maid is good enough to wake up at midnight without my request. Like last night, Preston weewee b4 sleep at 9pm, then my maid woke him up at ~12am and he did weewee. However, this am the nappy was sooo wet. I guess he's not too ready yet and we tried not to put nappy for him. He'll continue to sleep even the bed was wet. I guess I still have to spend $$ on nappy for some time.

The weather seems so nice, any plan for the weekend?

I cannot bear the bad smell & that's why I prefer having him with nappy on during the night.  Almost forget that we'd have a long weekend.  No plan yet.  Let me explore.

You may consider buying some absorbent sheets for Preston or Davin when they are ready.  Just put it under the quilt.  Even if the kid wets the pants, you just need to change the quilt and the absorbent sheet.  Very convenient.

Two kids of the class will be transferred to PE class next month.  Both of them are good friends of Davin.  I hope Davin is fine & can make more good friends by then.

You can find the absorbent sheets in Jusco Store, the area for the pregnant.  It costs about $36 for a pack of 6 sheets.

By the way.  Do you know which kids will be transferred to PE class?  I heard from Ms. Cheng that the new NET will arrive very soon.

I bought the big sheet for changing nappy, one side is plastic (water proof) already. The problem is Preston doesn't feel uncomfortable with wet pants and bedsheet and continue to sleep. Never mind, I'll wait till he's ready.

Who will change to K1A class? BTW, how's the art class?Does Davin like it? Shuet ching and Chun Hei are joining the art class as well. Every time after class, it is sooooooo noisy coz they keep jumping and laughing. It's so funny to see the three of them talking to each other and one does something, the other two follow. It'll be more fun if Davin is here too.

Doris,  what is new NET ?

Lydia, Davin joined Kids' Gallery in Kln Tong.  He seems to enjoy the class.  Like the other art class, I cannot see what's going on during the lesson.  Yet, they do keep a art & craft book for each child.  And, my son likes to drive the car (located in outdoor area inside the campus) after the lesson.

I heard that today is the last school day of Ryan (PNA last year).  He'll be migrating.  And, Edwin & Ching Ching will be transferred to K1A from tmr onward.  They are best friends of Davin.  I hope Davin would be fine staying with other friends of the class.  Of course, I can also observe that Preston & Davin get along quite well.

Recently, the school will not let parent take their kid inside the school if they are too late.  And, I now understand why the school has to urge the parents to leave the school during morning exercise session.  If you take your kid to school today, you'll notice that it's far too crowded.  So many parents want to take pictures & video clips for their kids.

NET means native English teacher.  Ms. Cheng told me last week that the new NET will come very soon and Ms. Bai will stay and she will act as a helper of the class.

It's reasonable that the school does not allow late-coming parents to enter the school.  I believe their presence will affect the smooth running of the morning exercise.  My Mom told me that a maid of a PN class kid used to feed the kid with bread during the morning exercise time (the kid was doing exercise while the maid kept on feeding).  This is disturbing.

Brian cried this morning in school.  I guess he was not comfortable with the situation that everyone dressed in a special way.  Ms. Cheng is so nice and caring that she could calm Brian down in a short while.  Brian could then join the following activities.  Brian also cried last year in the same event.  However, he was left alone during the three hours in school and he was still crying after school (so poor!).

Good to hear that a new teacher will be on board very soon.  Wow, I can't believe that the school let the kid be fed during morning exercise.

My son refused to put on the halloween costume at first, but then when he arrived at school & saw a lot of kids with costume on, he was so happy & was eager to show Miss Cheng his costume.

I do agree that Miss Cheng is really caring.  She is really performing well & does her job with 'heart'.  Maybe we should give this compliment to the school.

Good to hear that Davin enjoys the art class. I heard kids gallery is quite good too. At Art palace, they also recieve monthly evaluation and they take photos for the kids with their work everytime. They look very proud with their work.

Brian is afraid of the scary costumes? or maybe because the kids are not wearing the usual uniform and that scared him. Anyway, he'll be Ok once he's older. Preston loves his 'superman' costume so much he doesn't want to take it off. Actually, the superman costume was last year, this year I bought 'spiderman' for him but he insisted wearing 'superman' (a bit short).   Anyway, as long as he has fun, that's fine.

I can't believe the school let the kid eat while school has started. I think the school needs to be stricter in this aspect. Too bad that Edwin and Ching ching (is hei ching?) switching to K1A, Preston will miss Edwin, he's a good friend of him too. I heard from my friends that many primary school interviews (quite a number of my friends' kids ar in K3 and go for interviews recently) ask questions not only in English but a lot in Mandarin. So I guess nowadays the kids needs to speak better Mandarin. Maybe I should be thinking of some Mandarin class for Preston later.

I haven't seen the first artwork since Davin joined Kids' Gallery.  It's on a project basis & I guess each project lasts for a month.  I know that they are painting T-shirt.

The only thing that I have comment about Art Palace is that their artwork is too nice & neat in the sense that the teachers are doing a bit too much for the kids.

I did not buy another new Halloween wear for Davin.  It's just for one day & I won't spend the money on this.  Next year, I will think of buying a new one.

Some primary schools are just too crazy.  I don't know which school you mention about.  A daughter of my friend has just taken a few interviews (DGS, St' Paul's Co-ed..) & none of them was conducted in English or Mandarin.  I wonder which schools do so.  Btw, which primary schools are your priority ?

I saw the new teacher this morning at school.  Did you go to school this morning ?

I guess Brian remembered what happened in the Halloween last year (he cried for hours in school).  According to my husband, he started to feel uncomfortable when he wore the costume and he kept on asking for not going to school.  When my Mom open the door, he started to cry loudly.  Luckily, he could calm down when Ms. Cheng comforted him.

It's good to know that the new teacher has arrived.  I hope she is experienced, nice and caring.

I think it's too early to decide which primary schools to choose.  Will have to see which type of teaching strategies will benefit Brian more.  How about you?
