Hi!  I have not been here for long time!   There's aldy many many new names which I dont know yet!  I also have A-child age 3!

Did any of you hear about diet for Autism that do not take milk and flour?  I got this info from my friend who search the info for me in Canada!  It was said that those a-child mom experienced good effect aldy for 2 weeks since stopping milk/flour.     

My son, Chun Hei, starts his tel talking with daddy!!  though sometimes only one way talking without interaction,  its aldy very good!!  he can say hello and goodbye!  And always ask "what is that" means "who is that"  when i pick up phone or after hang up.
But one one no good,  he starts hitting & biting me/daddy  when he gets angry or he doesnt get what he wants or sometimes just for fund.    I tried so much to explain to him that wrong,  but he still seems doesnt understanding!!  What can I do??

I think you are talking about the Gluten free & Casein free diet (you may visit topic on GFCF on the web).  There are quite a number of things that can't be eaten if you follow the method.  Basically they are wheat & milk product.  My son is practicing the milk free diet and it works fine for his eczema.  I only practice part of the GF as it would be difficult for my son not to eat bread.

Dear all,
My son has practised CFGF for almost one year with great progress e.g. from no incentive to communicate with me to talkative all the time.  However, it is very difficult to practise.  All the family members must sacrifice and social activities may be hindered.  But is is worth doing so.

You are a determine mum.  I am still hesitate to do so.  It is really hard and expensive (especially the bread which is unbelievably costly)!

Dear HayBMum,
My son just eats natural food, e.g. fruit, vegetable, meat, etc....  I never buy any gluton free / processed food from Olivers for him, therefore the cost is not high.

我今日係藥房買左綠x寶DHA，$130/ 60粒，美國製，
~$2.0/粒。 屈人寺賣果隻太貴，有個promotor註守+明星賣廣告，成本貴好多!

Dear all,
My child is also taking 強x素.  According to the instruction, children less than 12 should take 1 pill per day.  Do you think that it is overdose to take 2 pills per day?  DHA is oil and may store in the liver.  Is it harmful?

mrsphcheung & HayBMum : tks for sharing about the CFGF diet.  It sounds good but its really difficult for my son then,  he still have mid night milk ( sometimes even 3 bottle a night) and he loves bread and biscuit.

How should I start? and suggestion??  And do you know any publish about this diet which is in chinese?? I want to show it to my family!

Dear HeiMarie,
The theory of CFGF diet is introduced by some medical doctors in USA.  It is very popular in USA.  I remember that I have encountered some books about autism written by Taiwanese writers in  a bookstore.

From my own experience, you may stop milk first to see how he reacts. Usually, the effect is quite apparent but needs to take time.  If your son loves milk very much, you can use soy milk.  It can be easily found in supermarket, e.g. Isomil.  Other kind of food that contain cow milk should be dropped progressively.  
As your son is still small and if he does not like eating, then you may need to give him supplements on calcium etc.  I would recommend you to check with the Doctor who believes this GFCF theory and prescribes the right supplements to your son. (For cantonese speaking doctor, seems only Dr Ko Yang Yang is available in HK. You can check her out in other mummy's discussion here)
