I finally didn't registered for Cannan. Since my son's class teacher said my son still has chance to find a good school through the lucky draw. Unless we found a very favourite DSS school for him or we can wait for the lucky draw result.
I know I'm running risk. Meantime still waiting the results from EC. This morning the boy is having interview at NPL. Hope I can share good news with you all here soon. I really feel relief through reading all the parents' 心聲 here.
It's time again to work hard for the exam and hopefully the kids will get better result this time. Good luck to all of us.
If referring to a band 1 student, I think that I should wait for the central allocation.
But for me, my little son is belonging to band 2 end student only. It's very very hard to admit to any English secondary school through the Government allocation. The chance is almost "Zero". And I really don't like the Chinese secondary school. In that case, if I can get the seat in any English DSS, of course, I believe that I would accept it and give up the central allocation.

Thanks for sharing. I also disappointed about the education system in HK.
Last November my son was being estimated as band 2 student by his school. I don't know whether he is band 2 top or bottom. During the parent day in Feb his teacher told me that his result was not that worst and still possible to find a good school if he work hard in Maths. But very difficult to push up to band one la as the results of P5 2nd term + P6 1st term are not satisfied. That's all the comments the teacher gave.
Our heart is "15/16".
Did anyone apply for PLK Law's, we are also waiting for the result of this.
