We went to Jumpin Gym this morning & met three classmates.  Both of us played the ball pool.  I know the bad experience you had & I was quite careful.  Fortunately, it was quite clean.  Maybe it was better that we chose to play in the morning.

I'm still hesitate to take Preston to play the ball ball chi. But I know kids really like it.

I took Preston to Kowloon City Wall Park yesterday and there was bicycle for rental. Preston tried to learn how to ride a 4-wheel bike. But quite sucessful, hope he know how to ride soon. It's a pretty nice park.

I live nearby Kln City Wall Park but I do not know that there are bike for rent.  The park is relatively big & has got enough facilities for kids.

Btw, did you pick Preston up after art lesson last Friday ?  Did you see Ching Ching ?

Actually, I will still bring Brian to the ball pool in JumpinGym from time to time.  So long as the kids wash their hands right after playing, ball pool is still a safe and fun place for kids.

Thanks for introducing Kln City Wall Park to us.  It's good to know that there are bikes for rent and I am sure Brian will love it.  What other facilities does the Park offer besides bikes?

I brought Brian to Kowloon Park last Saturday morning.  The facilities for kids there were quite old.  Maybe we went there on the day right after the Mid-Autumn Festival.  It was quite dirty and there were may flies and mosquitoes.

If I'm to choose the best park in urban area, I would vote for HK Park.  Besides, I like Botanical garden since it's the only park that we can see different kinds of animals.  Any other ideas ?

HK Park is also one of my favourite parks.

I have been to Inspiration Lake recently.  It's good that there were also bikes for rent.  The park is also spacious and it's quite comfortable to be there.

Has anyone been to Wetland Park before?  Planned to bring Brian for a walk there.

Don't you think it's a bit remote from Disneyland ?  It's okay but nothing much to see.

About Wetland Park, I think I'd better wait since it's new & many people will go there.

I agree with you guys that I like HK park. However, there aren't aot nice park here in HK esp. if you don't want to travel too far sometimes.
I plan to go to Wetland Park later when the weather is nice and cool, maybe in November.

Just one thing I want to know, have your kids wean off bottles yet? Quite shameful, Preston is still using bottles and we try different cute cups and cute straws, he is still resistant to give up in his bottles, any good ways or wait till how old should I force him to get rid of bottles?

You have raised a good topic.  My son still insists drinking milk & water with bottles.  As for other drinks like soup or juice, he can drink with cup.  At school, he also uses cup (without straw).

At first, my son also insists using bottles to drink everything.  When he tried & noticed that sometimes it got stucked, he preferred using cup.

I will not force him.  I believe one day he will give up.

Btw, very often I have to brush my son's teeth when he's in bed.  Sometimes, he can brush but not always.

Brian still uses bottles for milk.  Sometimes, I tried to let him use a cup with some small holes.  That's no problem.  But on the next day when I did the same thing, he asked for a bottle.

Actually, I know a mother who lets her 8-year-old daughter have milk using bottle.  I believe milk bottle has a 'symbolic' meaning to kids, just like some of their favourite toys.  I will still let him use it, until he is willing to change.

I used to brush the teeth together with Brian at night.  Just to let him see how I do it.  Brian will only spend a minute or two on this.  I need to brush the teeth for him everytime when he's finished.

Have you heard of 'dental disclosing agent'?  I will try it when Brian gets older.  I think it will be fun.

What's dental disclosing agent ?  Can you tell me more about this ?

Dental disclosing agent is a tablet containing dye material.  It tastes like candies.  It leaves a purple stain on any tooth surface with plaque.  The stain can be removed by brushing.

Parents can use the disclosing agent to locate the parts where the kids fail to brush and teach children how to brush their teeth effectively.  However, I guess Brian is still too small for it.  I am not sure if kids have to brush hard to remove all the stains.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I just let it go naturally. Since milk is good and Preston is kind of skinny, as long as he likes to drink, I don't care what he uses. However, my maid told me he used a cup this afternoon, but tonight he refuses cup again.

Preston is fine with brushing teeth. He'll do it himself and then either me or my maid will help him brush a bit more and he finishes his milk then brushes his teeth b4 goes to sleep.

Davin also likes milk a lot, but he drinks only twice a day, in the morning & before sleep.

Preston is still drinking 3 times milk a day. 8oz in the am and 4 oz b4 sleep. azxcmgnbAs long as they like milk, I'll still let them drink it, but I haven't tried fresh milk.

I still haven't tried fresh milk since he's allergic to milk.  I have to be very selective in food intake.

Brian tried fresh milk before but it seems that he likes milk formula more.  I think milk formula is more nutritious and I will just let Brian have milk formula at this moment.

The dental disclosing agent (牙垢膜顯示劑) is available in pharmacy stores and dental clinics.  I suggest you try it yourself before letting Davin have it.

You said it was a kind of pill.  How to use it & how much does it cost ?

You can take it just like a candy.  The purple stain will leave on the tooth surface where plaque is found.  You can remove those stains by brushing your teeth again.

I am not sure how much it costs but for sure it's not expensive.
