有冇話考第幾架?
- for P1 - P4, the ranking is shown only for the top 20 in own class, and top 50 in whole grade.
For P5 and P6, no ranking.

- No ranking for P5 and P6??
Then, does it mean that we have to consult with the teachers about the relative ranking/position of our children in the class/grade individually??

I have heard about 2 cases only.
There could be more cases that we might not aware of as the school is over 10 years old by now.

I know the first case after reading a newspaper about 1-2 years back.
There was one DBS boy who got many “A” in HKCEE/HKAL (cannot remember which one now) and he was graduated from TSL several years ago.
According to the news, that boy did skip one grade during his study at TSL but there was no mentioning about which grade and when.

The second case that I knew happened in the past 1-2 years.
As this boy is still studying in the school now, I do not want to disclose the details in public here.

Yes.  The class teachers will also let parents (/kids) know approx which banding of schools they should apply for.
(cos it is sort of an intelligent guess, not 100% on the school's part)

Some class teachers are more discreet, and only tell each kid / parent individually.
But I know of 1 class last yr in which the class teachers simply told the kids about their respective banding, in front of EVERYBODY in the class, so every kid knows the banding for everybody else !! (no privacy !!)  Of course those kids in Band 3 would not like this !

4) 測驗分計唔計埋入考試分? - yes, around 30% of each term's marks come from tests.  Exact calculations will be given during Parent's Talk on 26 Sept (Sat) (pm) - all parents are invited to attend, then go up to classroom to meet the 2 classteachers, and collect "Scheme of Work" + marking scheme info.

If you can't go, better ask your hb to go.  Otherwise you will know much less than otherwise.  Also a good chance to meet other parents in your class.

- At least 1 day in advance.  And should give reason.  Primary school now, not KG.  If its for attending piano exam, theory exam, musical instrument exams, speech festival or music festival, or other sports competitions, or even going on trips just after the exam, it is OK with this school ga.

I'm not joking ga !
Some kids really disappear for a few days right after exams.  And I know some Indian kids disappear for home (in India) before end of school year.

Although I have told you before, I think it's really necessary for you to apply for a few more schools as back-up this year as the competition for the P1 admission in many schools is really keen.

Although I really want to lend you a helping hand,
I am afraid that I will disappoint you this time.

The reason is that “e-principal” lives in the virtual world whereas the real Principal lives in the real world.
In other words, we live in two totally different worlds!!
