Yes, even as potential parents we're also very alert with what is happening in the school!  As a brand new school, it's really taking time to get settle down and running smoothly.  This I think we all can tolerate, it's still just 2 months since it opened.  Other hiccups like absent teachers I believe the school will sort it out too....but the beliefs of the school, and "implementation" of these beliefs principal and teachers are really critical for the success.  If "rumours" or "unfortunate" incidents like these continue, I'm then concerned that the reputation will be damaged too.  While I'm not opting for famous schools (otherwise I won't try new schools), I still want the school to be reasonably accepted and appreciated in the "market place".  Afterall we want our kids to graduate from a good school (which does not necessarily mean top academic results but kids from the school are known for good citizenship, excellent general knowledge, caring and willing and able to contribute, etc.).  What do you think?? :  :

For me, I also think that being the first school running by the University in HK, the HKBU must and will do the very best. I don't think the school will do something that ruined his name - from kindergarten to university. Otherwise, the whole kingdom will be totally lose. I believe that the competition between schools are very very keen, so all HKBU schools must keep a good standard in order to attract students to admit, then HKBU can earn money, have word-of-mouth and go for a higher and prestigious status in the society. I think all people will know that HKBU is not the most prestigious university, everybody goes for HKU, CU, but since the HKBUAS WKFS is an affliated school of HKBU, I trust her education mission as a whole and the support from all sectors of HKBU.

Actually, I think that HKBUAS will target for getting good or top academic results from public examination.

To be honest, parents like me, want their children with good academic results and the school wants it also for attracting new students especially their parents for the coming many many years......

Remember the number of students are decreasing, and all parents will put their children to those tradtional famous long history schools as their prioity. New DSS school is actually not necessary so stable if their academic results are not good enough.

I understand...in fact I wouldn't say "no" to good academic results!  But if the school is able to nurture the kids with sustainable interests and eagerness to learn and grow, I think it's natural they will do well academically.  It's also true as you said academic results are a top criteria to many and BU is just a new school so no record to show.  Anyway I also believe in what you're saying about BU, so that's why I chose this school!   At the same time, I wouldn't want to repeat "history" as to how first years of primary school life can be miserable to the kids and parents.  I was just sharing in the other topic on P1 parents and I said the worst may be yet to come if P1 is already so much pressure!  I went through the terrible years from P1-P4 for my elder son in a traditional school.......... :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

我覺得近日在網上越來越多人在發表似是而非的意見或事件，但是我認為最重要的是小朋友入學後十分愉快，亦很喜歡學校的老師和同學。
至於有人提及「放棄學位」「搬屋」之類的問題，我本人亦是居住在沙田區的。面試時老師已即時提醒我15%的收生限制，亦清楚解釋若果兩個學生面試的成績相同，住在沙田區的一位入讀的機會便相對減低，當時老師完全沒有要求我搬屋。
我十分認同有問題應該用正面的方式處理，在上星期的家長課程中，校長已說過我們可透過學校的網頁發表對學校的意見，我想這是比較理想的方法，亦可減少不實消息。

Oh I've just been accepted so not yet!  It will be next year P1....you would have seen me more in the "interview" posting.  Since it's all done now I'm more active on this panel now!

I think if every parents use the same way as you suggested, e-mail the head master and cc 給浸會大學及羅椒范芳, everyone will be so busy.
I dont' think we have problem in getting the head master's response, even we don't involve 羅椒范芳. It is not necessary to make such a serious complain. Being a Parents of Kids from BU, we can see and understand how much the school is devoted to teach and guild our kids, BU is a new school, we can't say it is perfect, but we need to add a bit more LOVE and Patient, the Headmaster and her teams is working very hard to put everything in Shape, from Sept to Oct, School opening, Parents days, interviews for 07 etc, I saw that the Headmaster was working extramely hard and still involve everything herself, I think they don't even have the holidays during weekends.
Every Parent would hope to seek for the best School for their kid, and I think you are not the exception, thanks for sharing anyway.

交代過以上補充資料後, 本人不會再發表任何有關浸小的事情. 請各位有小朋友在浸小上學的家長不要過份擔心, 可能只是個別事件.

My kid is in K2 now and I am learning more info. about different types of schools.  So far seems that this new school Baptist is becoming more popular, but I really don't see any special characteristics of this school that other DSS do not have.  It is not using international approach like CKY, it seems to be a Christian DSS similar to Evangel (播道) at TKO, isn't it?  Can you advise anything special about this school?

我的女兒今年讀G1,上年亦有你的決擇問題。蔡繼有不錯，新校原地重建，完成時間會較長，小朋友可能幾年後才可享用到新校舍，而且臨時校舍在深水

I think somehow the location is one of the big considerations....especially for younger kids I'm a bit concerned if they have to take a long time everyday to commute.  They really have nothing to do on the bus, except dozing off (which becomes very dangerous) or playing.   Though I also understand many children travel a long way each day to get to their targeted schools.  Understandable, just very tiring by the thought of it.

I have huge concern about this school.  I complained to the school about seeing a grade 1 student being asked to stand with a book holding on top of his head outside the classroom.  The principal's feedback is that maybe that's the student was holding his book or bag in a very special way.  What a silly answer....  More importantly, my neighbour who is applying 2007 grade 1 admission for his kid, was asked to change his address out of Shain in order to secure a seat......

你的內容和chanlinlin一模一樣，你的化名都幾多，是否仲有其他化名呢？平時有人鬧下學校，由得佢等學校知恥近乎勇，但你的動機似乎係破壞校譽，等想報浸小的家長駐足，讀緊的退學，學校質素下降，冇得同人競爭，真係唔出聲唔得。

雖然我的女兒是搭校車的。近星期你講這件事令好多人都作討論，我結果都到學校去八下。不但同家長討論，也找老師問，我覺得好奇怪，就係所有老師都知體罰是不容許的，而且當日是面試日，相信校方高層都好忙上上落落，大家都知浸小學校是中庭式設計，一眼就睇曬成座建築同埋全部班房，唔通個老師唔驚炒魷兼除牌？就算幾咁傻的老師都唔會咁做啦！

其實好簡單：一：你知道學校唔收你個仔女就懷恨在心，存心報復，但係我話你知：夠了，返正你都話唔讀了！二：你其實是仇恨浸小中某人，或是同行勁敵，要破壞校譽，無中生有，仲比埋電郵地址煽動人去投訴，嘩！你居心惡毒得好離譜呀！點樣投訴我們這些讀得浸小的高質素家長唔通唔識？我又話你知：你越做棧我地越憎你，你的狐狸相亦越明顯。夠了，費事大家浪費時間。

假如你是真的，不如老老實實去找校長，二口六面講，投訴在一樓邊班，仲帶埋佢去指比佢睇，佢知道邊個位置一查時間表就可以一清二楚，有定冇體罰？個老師冇得唔認。咁你又可以洗脫我鬧你的不白之冤，又幫到學校，囉曬分啦！
