Unless you do not like KCIS, submit an application form and decide later. Your thinking and your child's requirement will change over time.

By the way, I think KCIS also have staff catering students with special needs. Call KCIS administration office to understand more.

So, it's nearly impossible to get into KCIS primary if one is not from KCIS kin ...

If your child is physically challenged, SWCK is definitely a better choice.  SWCK practices inclusive education and is definitely a much more caring school for students with special needs.  I'm sure ICA, the primary section of SWCK, will embrace the same.  The only "downside" may be the lack of secondary section (for now).  You may check with KCIS first on any assistance available too.

Hi Ann0805, just wondering if you would consider moving your boy from KCIS to another IS if he's got accepted by other schools?  Any other better choices you have in mind?

Actually we are happy with KCIS. Just that we do feel that its hardware has put quite a lot of restrictions on the future school development, and it appears to me that KCIS is always 'secondary' to the mainstream KCS in terms of use of campus and facilities.   Thats part of the reasons why we have applied for quite a number of international schools for our boy, given the keen competition, the chance is slim.  We haven't thought too much for now our next move.  Afterall, whether there are other offers for our boy is uncertain, and that each international school would have its own characteristics.     We also have to think about sibling priority too as we have a smaller baby.

My boy's KCS classmate forfeited the deposits paid to KCIS sometime in the past.

我有朋友個小朋友, 本來都係我女個時一齊in
(有大約2星期, 每日有大約8個小朋友)
但我朋友個小朋友個日病左
咁就冇去到interview, 尋日佢打去kcis問
anita話, 最後一個位,上星期5有家長來交左錢了(我老公星期5去交)
即係我應該好大機會係最後一個位

不過, anita話每年開學都會有人唔讀
到時會第一時間call我朋友去in

Yes, normally there are students leaving KCIS shortly after the school starts.  For my son's class, there are a few new joiners since September.  So, no worry, your friend's daughter should be able to get a place.

um... if you're the last (or among the last) to register... the chance for getting an AM place may be slimmer, as there should be a lot queuing for AM places in front of you.  Good luck.

我有問題想問呀！因為我個仔仲未有得in,所以我想問下大家orientation day係幾時？同埋大家估唔估計到，如果有人放棄學位，會大約幾時會通知學校話唔讀呢？我想到時再打電話去比Anita,問下有無機會in!雖然我知機會好微，但我唔想放棄，希望盡力同個仔入間好學校！

但我可能答你
如果9月前冇人主動同kcis話會唔讀
咁學位一定會到9月先有(即係9月開學no show)
你可以打去問下anita你排得前唔前

大家好! 我個仔都會在kcis 讀 pm k1 class 呀, 因為係一條龍, 所以我放心晒!

但我成日聽到有人話中學唔好, 因為同公學係同一個校舍, 但以我所知, kcis 會用最頂個兩層校舍, 而且同kcs係分開的, kcs學生不能進入. 而且活動時間不同, 兩批學生根本不能見面.  而且根據學校安排, p2 開始已經會同公學用同一個校舍, 如果真因此有影響, 應該小學都有問題.

各位有咩意見? 有kcis中學的家長可提供意見嗎?

I think so, too.  Mine now is in KG1.  I’m searching evidence of that.  Most sayings seem mix both streams up and conclude it wildly.  Insiders seldom talk about it.
