小女將於今年入讀 St.Paul Kindergarten, 想訂做可熨在校服上的名字織嘜, 請問各位家長學校有沒有特別限制, 同時織嘜上要什麼資料, 例如: 中文姓名或英文姓名, 班級, Group no, class no, 是否全部需要呢? 可否有公仔呢?

Have you finalized your decisions yet?  Per your discussions before, I notice that you are wondering whether sending your boys to SPK are ok or not.  In fact, that's my concern too.  Pls share if you don't mind on your final decisions, as I always worry whether is it good enough to have boys go schooling on a minority status(ratio on boys/girls 2:10).  Also, do you know where I can check on the info rdg these boys after their graduation from SPK, which school do they ususally go?

I think only Chinese & Eng name is enough cos you only need to use few pieces a year.
If you put the class no. etc.  It cannot be used in K2 or above....
I will put the class no., by pen in the back of the 織嘜

Just inform you that you need to prepare name label for your girl cos all the stationery, crayon, color pen. & pen cover...etc need to name one by one.  It needs around 40pcs per year.
Actually, so many shop can print it w/ cartoon.  But you are much better to print w/ Eng. name and class no. etc on it.

I am a new SPN mummy. SPN will order some name labels for us (of course we have to pay) which will have our child's English and Chinese name and the school emblem. I dont know if SPK provides this service too...just thought you might like to know

I'll go on 23 June.

Though KL got accepted luckily, but the time and location is not good. I apply for the class in Olympic but they only offer Homantin or North Point. All the classes in Homantin clash with pm class so finally I change the class to North Point on every Sun. Hope can change back to Olympic in Jan 07.

Last night when I talked to KS about KL.
She said KS is her good friend !
When I ask "Why you don't play with her ?"
She answer "Good friend is good friend, not a must to play together"   

Heard from Ms. Yu that spk will have a water fun activities on Jun/29 and I will go and help.   
So, my hubby will attend on Jun/23 instead of me.

Jun/30 is the last birthday party, will you take a leave and go to spk with KL ? If so, let gethering in noon time for lunch

嘩, 好耐冇見到呢個topic啦,大家好嗎? 不知不覺婷婷即將上k.3啦, 上個星期家長會知道係ms.宋會做班主任, 有冇人知ms.宋對小朋友高唔高要求既呢?

She is a very good teacher.. she has la lot of love the the student ...sometime long-winded.. but my girl love her very much.  She has been the 班主任 for my girl from K1 to K2.  At first, we felt  she is demanding, but then, u will know she is demanding for the whole class and not just your girl.  Comment: more revision needed, have to practice more numbers, more practice on writing.... is what "we" also received.

But, different teacher has her own practice and demand.  My girl (K3) need to write diary, weekly newspaper reporting, mthly story telling.. but it is not the same in the other class.

Overall, I like Ms Sung..

School will soon be finished.  Time fly so quick! I really miss my days being the SPK parent!

How to punish KS?

Good idea. Deal! I'll take leave on 30 June and will see whether S's mom will join.

KL told me last night that KS has agreed to be her friend again but she had not played with her!

From the seminar last Sat, it seems that the pace suddenly become very fast, they had homework on both Eng, Chinese and numbers, read 1 book per day and learn phonics. Can you girl cope with the load. I have some anxiety.

The homework is not so many, at least 1 or at most 2 per day during the 1st term. Even in the 2nd term, the homework will not more than 3 per day. (Normally 3 on Friday because there's a diary book asking kids to draw picture next to the word and write alpabet at the bottom).

Their pace are so good, not too fast or slow. As for the phonics, SPK has their own way of teaching, the kids can learn it very easily, they can pronoun some of the word which is new to them by using the first sound, important sound, vowel sound etc.  They teach the phonics at the same time of teaching the writing of the alphabet.

I remember that your girl has been admitted to HKCC. When is the time, is it Sunday 3-4 at King's road?
