Hi Smith,

It's always difficult to do a full CF/GF diet.   I have to admit such diet is somewhat unconvenient and troublesome to our family as a whole.  I have an elder son who can eat anything w/o restriction and therefore it is important to manage and educate both of my kids.

I am not able to keep a 100% (not even 95% I think) GF diet to my younger son too.  However, I always put enzymes along with some food which contains gluten.  As I mentioned here before, everytime we go out to have meals, I bring along a bottle of juice with enzymes added and let him drink before eating.  He likes to eat pizza (but only the plain one, I cut the top layer of cheese away) but of course occasionally.

At home, we try to use as many organic food as possible.  I have recently let my son eat rice in the morning for breakfast before/after drinking rice milk. It seems that he likes also.

Also the cooperation from school is very important.  I observed that my son listens to the teacher sometimes even more than me.  I give the school two bottles of enzymes (chewable) and the teacher will give to my son one (AFP peptizyde) before lunch and another one (No-fenol) before snack.  At the same time, a list of "not-allowed or unpreferrable" food is also passed to the school.  Fortunately, my son's school is very good in following my requirements.

So, please do it one step by one step.  You may not be able to achieve it in a few days but you should aim at achieving this one day!

上星期一交左尿液樣本比Dr. X, 係做完6次DMSA(low dose).

今晚姑娘打比我話報告返左, 話結果好好 , Dr. X覺得唔駛再做DMSA, 要約我返去頃下未來方向.        

我約左月尾, 明早叫姑娘先FAX個報告比我睇睇先.

因為Dr. X話好好, 即係test到少mercury, 但Dr. U係asian conference到話過test到少其實即係等於chelation個方法唔夠有效, 即係要諗其他方法, 明天睇完report再向大家報告.

不過我可能今次會揀相信Dr. X, 因為我其實對chelation都好動搖, 因為yeast overgrowth呢個side effect真係令我好怕, 可能會轉一d天然ge排毒法.

唔知Dr. X會唔會叫我仔做HBOT呢? 呢個我都怕會令仔仔好high

Very good to hear that your son's report shows positive improvement!  Though it may not be certain that his toxins have been drawn, it looks promising and I agree with you that you may try some natural chelation (though slower) but at the same time, continue with different kinds of training.

Add oil!

Dear all,

My son's urine report showed both lead and mercury are within ref. range.  Dr. T told us that we can stop the chelation therapy.  Anyway, I'll send the reports to Dr. U to see if we still need to go on the chelation.

我就剛剛星期一做了test, 相信一、兩個星期後會有齊report.  但其實點都好，我想試下其他chelation 方法，希望yeast的問題可以避免，每次阿仔食完3天DMSA，好明顯個人會好容易space out。
記唔記得睇Dr U時有兩個"旁聽"的醫生?  其中男的叫Dr Lau。我星期一見到佢，佢話開始左係Dr T 度學野，會幫手follow up Dr T的patient, 原來佢個小朋友都係有 autistic feature, 但係讀主流小學，佢話小朋友4月才開始biomedical treatment, 但係見到有很好的progress, 可惜當日趕住返工，唔係就可以傾下睇下有無新的development.

Yeast problem 都係我自己唔想再做chelation的原因之一, 上次Dr. X唔肯開duflican, 雖然我自己買左, 但諗下係low dose DMSA就試下唔再DMSA同duflican一齊食啦, 點知仔仔上兩個鐘堂, 傻笑左78次, 破哂紀錄, 我真係好怕仔仔d performance大起大落, 就算自己頂得順, 都真係好難同therapists及學校交代發生mug野事.  :cry:

在最近的一個round, 我已經10日前完成了full course diflucan, 先比阿仔start DMSA, 仲加埋 Nystatin 一齊食，但阿仔只係食到第二日，已經比social group的導師發覺明顯唔留心，如果話幾個月先做一次chelation, 這情況還可接受，但如果接續做下去，我就覺得唔係咁好。

唔記得話你知上星期六見到你阿仔上堂, 好明顯進步左，多了明白導師的指令和遊戲規則，有時就算唔明，都好醒目望下隔離跟住做。
唔知係唔係chelation 的功勞呢。

Hi all, on this topic of chelation: my typical, 8-year-old son has just started DMSA too.  He just had his first pulse.  He was tested to be very high on lead and quite high on mercury on the urine post-challenge test, I have no idea where the lead came from.  I brought him to see Dr. T. in the first place because of his behavioural issues.

Will share with you his results later.

My son is quite regressive lately.  His teacher complainted he has been reading so loud during reading time.  He ignored the verbal warning and was punished to stand outside the classroom today.

I think we're all in high level of heavy metals and need to be detoxed using whatever natural chelators or DMSA.  I'm also interested to take the urine challenge test myself.  I probably will order the test from direct lab to reduce the cost.

Yes, I would like to try, but what is the cost or what is the minimum order?  Since only one patch is needed every week, I believe we do not stock up too much then!

Yes, MB12 is different from B12 and it has several forms of B12.  Methylcobalamin MB12 is the most popular and the only form that utilized by the central nervous system & support neurological function.  However, the cyano B12 patch has been effective on some autistic kids who're intolerating the MB12.  I recently noticed that MB12 shot no longer effective on my son.  I think it's no harm to try some other forms of B12.

Yes, you wrote what I think.

I just start mb12 not long ago after I bought  麻醉cream with a prescription. I read from the web-site that  MB12 at the doses is best  supported by  magnesium, zinc, b2,b3,b6,selenium & C.So I asked Dr. LAM gave all these supplements to me last week.I am looking forward to see the effect.

Welcome to our column.  Are you talking about Dr. Lau?  He has started to learn biomedical treatment from Dr. Trodd.  I don't know who is Dr. X.  Dr. U lives in US and you cannot consult her here in HKG anyway.  I would suggest Dr. Trodd for the heavy metals test.

BTW, I highly recommend  good quality water filter and air filter for people who are living in China.
