Most parents whose kid studied in PN class at LH are satisfied with most aspects of the school.  That's why in LV campus (for CE class), there are only 5 new students.

Yah, Preston look a bit like '四眼雞丁' (cute version).  My in-laws cook him soup with '川貝' & '鱷魚皮'.  It really works.  You may try as well.

Actually, I did hear some K2 parents of LH saying that the curriculum of LH is comparable to St. Cat. Well, I am not very familiar with the curriculum of St. Cat. But my colleague's daughter studied in St. Cat before, and she said that her daughter enjoyed school very much and learnt a lot in the 3 years period. So I suppose St. Cat is really a good kinder with a very caring and effective curriculum. However, there are so many candidates every year, and become really tough to get in. Also, the school is a little old now, the environment cannot be compared with some new kinder.

I also think that the curriculum of the two schools do not differ a lot.  Of course, I also heard that some kids enjoyed studying at SC.  Somehow, I think it depends on your luck whether your kid has got a good teacher & good classroom.

I've put forward some questions to Miss Cheng & was surprised to receive her call this afternoon.  She even said that she had given me some info in the folder today (in the school bag of course).  She responded so fast which is out of my expectation.

What did you ask Miss cheng, about Davin? I always forgot to ask her why are there only 2 graduates for this school last year? Where did the other go?
Anyway, I agree with you that Miss Cheng is a very responsible teacher. I told her Preston will be wearing glasses today and ask her to give some encouragement to Preston. She did and called me right after lunch and let me know how Preston performed at school (with the glasses) today. Preston also told me miss cheng talked to him and Miss Yvonne said he had nice glasses. I really appreciate their caring.

I asked Miss Cheng some techniques about reading.  From your experience, we can see that to be a good teacher one needs to be caring, responsible & responsive as well.  Anyway, we are lucky.

Actually, at the beginning, I liked Miss Sandra more.  She seems to be more enthusiastic.  However, I wanted my son to be in CE class.  Thank God that Miss Cheng & Miss Yvonne are both good.

I know our kids are lucky to have Miss Cheng and Miss Yvonne. I was talking to Hin Man's mom last night (he's in PE class). The teacher is too nice in a way that she can't handle Hin Man. He is too smart and knows how to manipulate(play) the teacher. His mom told the teacher to talk to Miss Hung (PNB) and learn some techniques to handle him. So funny!

It seems that quite a number of kids in K1B got sick recently.  Brian's fever lasted 4 days.  So poor!  Luckily, he's only got sore throat and fever, no running nose and coughing.  His body temperature dropped back to normal on Monday morning and I let him go to school.

Ms. Cheng and Ms. Yvonne are really good teachers.  They are so caring.  They have the power to draw kids' attention and Brian learnt a lot in school in the past 6 weeks.

I guess there were only two K3 students last year in LH. That's why they have only 2 graduates.

It's funny to know that the K1A class teachers cannot control Hin Man.  It's very rare in Kindergarten stage.  The class teachers have to do something ASAP

I've looked through the school photos (from the website), Brian got a lot of photos and he's so sensitive to the camera. There are a couple photos that everyone was listening to the teachers, only Brian knew there was the camera and turned back to look at the camera and made a 'V' sign. So funny, he can be a model!

Hin Man's mom told me once hin Man was naughty and the teacher made him stand aside and not allow to play. Somehow he got a good leadership skills that he could gather the other kids and played at the 'naughty corner'.   Thsi teacher has not found the skills to 食住 Hin Man yet and he's so smart he knows who he can manipulate. Last year Miss Hung did a good job.

Who's Hin Man ?  Is he the one attended the trial art lesson with Preston & Davin ?

Yes, maybe Miss Sandra is too nice.

So far, I don't hear anyone in our class being too naughty.

Preston got sick for such a long period.  I hope he would be completely okay soon.  My son is totally okay now.  I asked Miss Cheng today & she said that his behavior was back to normal.

I now know that when kid is a bit sick, he will not be in a good mood & lose temper more easily.

I also noticed that.  Brian loses concentration so easily that he will be distracted by anything.  Anyway, nice photo.  Ha!   

About Hin Man.  I think his class teachers may think of letting Hin Man be the leader or helper of some class activities.  Just let Hin Man feel that he is important to the class and the teachers.

You are right.  Brian's temper turned bad since he got  sick.  He almost cried every night before going to bed, for he didn't want to take the antibiotics or he didn't want to brush his teeth.  However, I am sure it's only temporary.

Preston is fine now, only very little bit of running nose and occasional cough, I'm giving him 'chuen pui' and 'monkey  powder'. It's me who is sick, I'm home today and got a bad sore throat and stuffy nose.  
Yes, Hin man is the boy who had the trial lesson with Davin and Hin Man. He looks and acts mature and sometimes is so funny he talks like an adult too.

For Preston, the temper doesn't differ much if he's good or sick. Only his appetite is worse due to the medicine. Hope Brian recover soon.

Somehow it's a good that kids don't behave as usual when they are sick.  This can give us a signal & we have to pay attention to this.  Doris, you're right.  I'm sure Brian will behave as usual when he's recovered.

Lydia, when kids get sick, there's a good chance that you'll be infected as well.  I had also been sick for 3 weeks.  I had to pay 5 clinical visits to get myself completely cured.  Jesus !

I was surprised when I saw the photos about 'Show and Tell' held yesterday to be posted yesterday afternoon in the LH website.  

It's good for the parents to know what was happening and for the kids to review what they did.  Brian loves to see those photos very much.

I checked the website immediately, glad to know what happened at school. Preston loves to see the photos too.

Preston was so sweet the other day when I was wearing a dress (I rarely did). He asked why I was so pretty and wanted to give me a gift. :wink:

Preston was so sweet. Kids at this age always has some very cute dialog. It reminds me of my boy doing a sweet thing for me last week too. I was wearing a high heel shoe which I seldom wear, and my boy knelt down and helped me to put it on. I told him that I appreciated him very much but it is difficult for him to do this, mummy can manage it. But then, he held up my trousers a little bit, and said,'Mummy, let me hold this for you, so you can put on the shoes easily.' My tears almost came down, so touching. I guess I will miss my 3-year-old boy forever.

BTW, thanks for sharing about the photos issue too. I found that the school hasn't opened a login a/c for me, so I just called them, and the clerk said she will make one for me immediately.

Preston is so cute!

Brian also said something funny from time to time.  I remember some time ago I got fever.  When I told Brian, he rushed to get the thermoscan and check my temperature.  He then said, '快o的食藥啦! 如果唔係, 就要入醫院.  o甘就見唔到樂樂啦'  Couldn't help laughing.

Kids during kinder stage are cute.  Sometimes, Davin puts his arm across my shoulder just like buddies do.  It's so funny.  He must have copied this somewhere from VCD or friend.

It's the second time I've ever seen Preston taking picture for my son.  Now, I can tell that (1) Preston is a caring & loving boy, (2) Preston & Davin are quite good friends.
