You're welcomed.  I just want to share things that are good for our children.  If you also have something good to share, please do so.

I'll probably get the books and handbook by the end of May or early June from UK (due to my job), maybe I can share with you at that time.  You can try to order through local bookshop.  If you wish, I can ask local agent to quote the price to see if it is competitive.

You can choose buying the whole set or just one level (it has 4 levels).  Here's a brief description:

Level 1 : for children who can match some words and letter sounds.  1 sentence per page.

Level 2 : for children who can recognise a few words and letter sounds and can use picture to help read simple sentences.  1 or 2 sentences per page.

Level 3 : for children who can recognise 10-20 words, can read simple sentence and know all the initial letter sounds.  2 or 3 sentences per page.

Level 4 : for children who can recognise 30-50 words, can read harder sentences and use sounds to help make words.  3-4 sentences per page.

Summer : Black or White shoes
Winter    : Black shoes

For sports wear :
White sports shoes for both summer & winter.

Actually, you can also borrow this sort of books in  the library. They have a series named, Ready to read, step into reading etc...

It is not difficult to get it from the library.

In my opinion (my experience), your child will choose which books they like to read, even you have bought the whole series of Read at Home, if your child don't like it, it is just a waste of money.

For me, I usually borrow 5-6 books each time, of course, those are suitable for him to read, he will pick out which books he likes and tell me to return the rest to the library.  

Reading is a very good hobby, you don't need to force him but to let him do his own way.  He will tell you what he wants.

I agree with that library is the best source among all.  The one I'm most interested in is its handbook and would like to know more about storytelling.  I believe if you can tell a story lively, children will be attracted to the story and hence develop their interest in reading.  It is the art of storytelling.  

I post the info as ORT is a well-known series.  I just share what I know and have no intention to make it commerical.

你誤會了.  gordon 的意思是與其花錢買些孩子未必喜歡看的書, 不如同佢去圖書館一起借.  Library 是指 public library.
