My son has been taking part in the swimming class held by 海天 for a year, but he is in St. Paul's pool.
He can swim breast-stroke and free style now.

Hi youngmami,

How's your son's first day in school?

My son can only tell me 2 names of his classmates that he already knew them during Kinder.
He even isn't sure which subjects (only know Chinese) his class teacher will teach them.  and English will be another teacher (he forgot the name as well).

About the socks, I understand that the only requirement is to have a pair of white.  Still, how many of u are using SJPS white socks?  My son told me that they have to put on SJPS socks and if not, teachers will take actions   .  Any ideas?

My son had attended two consecutive swimming courses at The South China Athletics Association with no improvement noted.
Then last year at the beginning of the school term he joined Hoi Tin in school and was able to swim, without any break, 150 meters in the adult pool of Morrison Hill Public Swimming Pool after attending one course there (at the same supplemented by my personal training for 1 month).

I am by no mean saying Hoi Tin is better than the others, but that a very short period of your personal attendance will make all the differences.

Hi Aardvark,

Yee.......have you attended the briefing for parents held in July?  Principal Ms Leung has clearly said that only white socks with SJPS logo are allowed.

You can buy the white socks at Victoria uniform shop.

Really?!  That's really a very big improvement
My son also joined summer classes at South China Athletics and same as your experience, I didn't notice any improvement --> perhaps too big size group there

I have also enrolled Hoi Tin for my son this term.  Hope he can make the same big improvement as your boy

My son said a lot (in fact I asked a lot) last night about his first day in primary, but mainly about the 'recess' period, how they sat in lines, how they eat their snacks, where is the toilet, etc. etc.  

He's also happy about the seating arrangment inside classroom (2 boys sit side by side) and he said class teacher spoke loudly and had punished a boy wow (don't know whether it's true or not)

Hope both of our boys can settle down very well lah.  But I guess they should have no big problem.  At least they're familiarized with the campus.

I did, and so was my wife.  But we thought that she said one socks were OK and SJPS was only an option.  

Anyhow, I dropped a call to school yesterday and asked the teacher to return the d--n call but to no avail.

So glad to know you are my partner , I asked my boy
if he knows the name of the classmate sit next to him, he told me 'we cannot talk', Ms. Yeung wl stick a 'cross tape' on the mouth, so far nobody get it!  He did not tell me the sweet is for spelling nrs.....

Grammar book - do you mean the 'Steps to...', it should
be kind of workbook, 1B already collected and keep in
school.
