嘉諾撒聖方濟各及瑪利曼小學

各位家長請問這兩間小學, 邊間較好?
嘉諾撒聖方濟各主要是否用中文上課(英文科除外),
而瑪利曼小學全用英語上課, 出來的學生英文程度邊間較好?
但嘉諾撒聖方濟各是間多活動較學, 而瑪利曼是否好"谷"D學生呢??
如果12校網, 還有邊間好呢! 因為香港區不太熟,
各位多多指教

兩家都十分受歡迎。相比之下，嘉諾撒聖方濟，功課多，規矩嚴，用一般講法即是相當傳統（以我調查所知，不只是聖方濟，這是嘉諾撒學校的特色）；而瑪利曼則功課少，小一至小三不設考試，十分鼓勵參予課外活動。

至於英語程度，不知你所說的是公開試成績還是其他比較。

你喜歡的小學生，是一個較木納的乖乖女，還是一個滿口英語、說話滔滔不絶的囡囡（這是我常遇見的典型，而非典型的我少遇見）。

好不好因人而異，性格和學習取向都有很大影響，適合你囡囡的那家學校就是最好。

話分兩頭，我相信你和這兩家學校都沒有關係，要好好計一計分數，看看有沒有機會在第一階段獲取，而你又不清楚港島區的學校，是否不在港島居住？想搏第二階段呢？

此外，１２網還有聖保祿天主教小學和軒尼詩道官立小學，都十分受歡迎。

本人則認為嘉諾撒聖方濟學校比較低調,不是所說的規矩嚴,功課多等等.老師也相當友善, 跟學生打成一片,由於活動教學, 所以小朋友也十分輕鬆. 不過到四年級功課可能就多一點. 但相信其他學校也一樣. 至於英文方面, 嘉諾撒聖方濟學校也不遜色, 因為要配合自己的英文中學. 在十二網, 本人比較喜歡嘉諾撒聖方濟學校及聖保祿天主教小學. 因為不論學校, 家長, 學生都比較低調.

非常同意以下 leschelems這段的說話.

咁又係既.  我覺得我地當年真係d 純樸型既學生, 玩我地一定玩, 但係真係創意驚人 (唔係誇口, 係真既!), 連d老師對我地都好難忘.  大家由細玩到大 (小學至中學), 同學校老師校長既感情好好架.

In my previous writing, I was making a contrast based on my research on different schools' students.  I did not make a one-sided account on any school.  In fact, most franciscans speak high of their school and some think they are very vivacious.  However my observation is that franciscan vivaciousness is quite different from marymounter vivaciousness.  And I really cannot label franciscan, in general, by this attribute.

咁又係喎,我作為外人,見到瑪利曼同見到聖方濟學生的感覺完全唔同.  如果聖方濟學生是活潑,咁瑪利曼就是勁活潑.只不過.......我會用一般活潑黎形容瑪利曼,而聖方濟就.......都唔太過差

St Francis is without a doubt a good school.  It's just for the sake of contrasting to highlight the relativities for other parents' reference.   

In fact I once considered this school years ago but found out my daughter wouldn't fit in well.

i m a  parent . my daughter is now studying here, she love her school very much.

Both are good.  The difference: Marymount is an English primary school and St Francis is a Chinese primary school.  

For me, I like Marymount.

作為一個st francis既舊生...好認同你既講法
現在同舊同學們都keep得好好
我也很愛母校

其實我都認同...
st francis 的學生係比較文靜...
marymount 的學生比較活潑...
其實各有各好啦
但唔代表st francis 的學生係木納...我的舊同學都好好口才...仲有st francis 的debate都獲過不少獎項 所以一直費解為何街外人總對st francis 有這樣的看法...
但無可否認蕃薯女係純品同鈍

My daughter is very quite, of course i want her to change to be more active. Then which school should I choose? For st francis , I think she can handle the homework, but afraid she still will be very quite. for marymount, I afraid she is very different from her active classmates and feel much pressure, but may be affected and improve (become more confidednt and active)too .What do u think? If u were me, what is yr opinion?

I could only share my experience as a parent.  

If I were the parent, I would choose the one that fits the daughter's characters best for obvious reasons.   It's not easy to get admitted by either school.  So why would we spend to much time to give her a hard time for the coming six years?   

I don't quite like people simply going for fame / achievements.  They are important, though less important to your daughter's development.
