我再問過學校Confirm,學校話這三、四年來的高中原來沒有人考Dse,全部考美制考SAT,
It is more a practical issue than a selling point.
DSE is a 3 year program and they probably do not have the resources to handle the required internal assessments, etc (which are part of the NSS curriculum). According to their website, they said they are following the curriculum of the local education bureau. The american curriculum is only an elective. So it is probably that they are still following closely the DSE program but students cannot write DSE exams so they need to take SAT tests by paying the exam fees.
Of course, if you aim to go to their affiliated universities, that would probably not be a problem. However, if you have other targets in mind, that might put your child in a less favourable status.
On their website, they also said that they are following local primary school curriculum. So it would be totally different from a typical western curriculum with "class teacher system".
So, in general, both primary and secondary curriculum are local curriculum, with the options to take SAT exams in high school. Even worse for the first few years, they do not support DSE program and students do not write DSE exams, and thus they do not get high school certificate.
