比較 瑪利諾(MCS) / St Mary / Good Hope

請問這三間學校, 除了私立及津貼之分外, 在程度上, 學習環境上可以有甚麼分別。請比比意見。

Both 3 are good.

one difference is you have to pay $3000 for GH while the other 2 are free !

As Good Hope has changed to DSS, I believe the pressure will not be as much as other two.

Then, How about Heep Yunn Primary School for girl.
Is is equivalent to those 3 schools or with lower standard.

I think all these school are good schools, They are girl school, with catholic backround, and traditional teaching method. The only difference that you have to pay school fee to GH but not the other two.

程度上，應是 1.瑪利諾， 2.St Mary, 3. Good Hope。

瑪利諾和St. Mary的程度分野，明報教育网去年有資料。至於Good Hope, 以前在其Web Page 上見到會考平均每人0.7%左右個A。今見不到其公佈(只公佈高考)，不清楚。

There is clearly 2004 HKCEE and HKAL results listed in the web-site of Good Hope(annual report). Verg good result in English Language. Ranking should be MCS, St. Mary then Good Hope.

I think all these schools are good, have long history and have their own secondary schools. Any of them accept your girl should be   . But, I heard that the English speaking ability in MCS is very good, may be similar to the level in DGJS.

以前，Good Hope 的做法是將成績詳盡地列在ACADEMIC & ACHIEVEMENTS 那里，和HKALE Result 放在一起，一目了然。

The best: MCS  (Eng good, no school fee)

2nd: Good Hope (Eng good, expensive school fee)

3rd: St Mary (No school fee, Eng??  Only heard from others.  Now seems change many chinese. P1 - P3 活動教學)

我女同幾個 mcs 及 st mary 女仔一同補英文同數學, mcs 果個真係top girl 全級 1-3名, 但程度同我女差唔多 (我女係gh 都未可叫topｇｉｒｌ）　ｓｔ．　ｍａｒｙ　就唔知人的ｆｏｒｍ　ｒａｎｋｉｎｇ．　

老實呢幾間學校的ｔｏｐ　ｇｉｒｌ　其實真係差唔多　！

i think one should not rank the school by comparing just the 'top students' of the school. top students of different schools are about the same and cannot compare. i think the overall standard is the most important.

ACADEMICALLY -- 1. 瑪利諾 maryknoll 2. st mary. 3. good hope

maryknoll's academic standard is very close to DGS, then followed by st mary and Good hope on the kowloon side.

SPORTS and MUSIC: Good hope is the best among the 3 , followed by maryknoll. st mary is only average re sports and music.

STUDENTS: (well, that's only my personal impression) st mary: decent, dressed neatly, courteous, look friendly
maryknoll: decent, look smart, outgoing, mostly friendly, some snobs
good hope: look smart, spoke loudly in public, more snobs, tomboys, always see them shopping in groups (?rich background)

                2002年高考平均每人摘Ａ數目 0.77  
st mary- 2002年會考平均每人摘Ａ數目 0.94
(for comparison -- la salle--2002年會考平均每人摘Ａ數目 1.74, 2002年高考平均每人摘Ａ數目 0.58)
according to Good hope website no. of As achieved in A-level is 22 for the whole form (including A and AS level)-- i don't know how many students are in Form 7.

But how could you tell the quality of the MCS girl is similar to your girl?

I was told by the tutor  teachers all top students from these schools are similar.  

For shopping ,tom boys or what so ever... , I could students from MCS and DG S and even St. Paul Co-ed  are the same.  It just very common in Hong Kong secondaries but it doesn't mean these are not good schools.

As what I have said. Say which one is the worst or the best  will arise arguments!

似乎你對GH有點偏見呢！

說TB 豈止GH有，連我家附近的Band 2女校也一樣多；講snob，我接觸過的GH女生都不算特別勢利，只是較注重物質，不過，這也是時下孩子的通病。
