Dear SYMAMI3,

Definitely not looking for a teaher because I am an English teacher myself. I would like my son to socialise with friends who can communicate in English. I want him (2.6 yrs old) to think in English and acquire the beahviours and attitudes unique among English speaking people.

As for other interested parties, I would be glad to have your participation when, say, there are social gatherings like birthday, family day in locations we would like to pay a visit to even when we are far away.

For example, we are going to join a gathering organised by a friend in Cheung Kwan O and the other 2 parties, one in Tsing Yi, and us, in Tin Shui Wai, far though it seems, are willing to drive that long distance for the sake of our children.

Social gathering is a very good idea. My son has heard a lots about party but never joins one before. Lets hold a party. Dear Kalokmon, is it OK to hold a party for children. Any parents interest in this kind of function? We can share our experience wit each other too. My son is nearly 2 years old and he can speak in simple English.

I think you are right.  My son is a very good playmate.  He loves people even some strangers also say Hi.

But do you think 2 years old is too small for a 7 near 8 years old boy.  Can they communicate?  Will they fee boring?
