急想給女兒去英國讀小學，詢問一些具體問題
：英國小學對母語不是英文的學生是否有多些關心？
：怎樣選擇學校在birmingham？

：請問大家有沒有好的律師推薦，辦理英國（家庭團結類）移民？

（因我老公和女兒都持英籍，所以我想申請家庭團聚類簽證過去，但現在多了好多規則。。非常麻煩～！其實也都好怪我自己，結婚八年都沒有考慮過入籍的問題，今年英國開始收緊移民，準備資料就開始頭大。。）

我們原本打算給女兒在香港讀完小學打些中文基礎再過去英國讀中學，可現在看來，女兒性格太過內向，還是早些過去為妙。。。

女兒今年6歲半，讀小一。幼稚園讀ESF兩年，最後報讀英基旗下兩所小學，但因面試表現不佳，信心不足，最後未能入取。。。
無奈之下只好轉回傳統學校就讀，可壓力卻好大，功課超多，學到的東西都很難消化就又開始了新一輪的填鴨，這種教學方式真是很難接受。現在看著女兒的英文程度也開始下降，我有些心急，只好再次考慮要不要提前過去英國讀小學這個問題，因無經驗，真不知應怎樣決定才好，所以想請已在海外的同學家長可以給多一些建議我～～萬分謝謝啦！

Since your daughter is holding British passport, you can choose "state school" instead of "private independent school".  No school fee for "state school"!
Regarding the question of caring, the size of the class is a major factor.  For grammar school, the number can up to 30+. For PIS, the size may be from 7 to 20.  The caring is, of course, is better than state school.
Generally speaking, the teachers here are more encouraging.
You may consider the following factors:
(1) financial
(2) boarding or day school
(3) co-ed or girl school
Then you can go to the UK School lists to check, there are thousands schools in UK.  
If you choose boarding school, go to some agents for more advice.  No agency fee at all!

你持英籍是否British citizen , 是有分別的,其實打算出國就不怕英文,我只怕不懂寫中文

我老公和女兒是拿citizen的，我女兒性格比較內向，所有我很擔心她越晚過去就需要越長的適應期。

My son is also very shy but he is getting better since leaving for boarding school in UK when he was 16. As we have family and friends there and both of us are UK educated, he is having a good time there.

Good schools in Birmingham....well, most schools are comprehensive. My niece is in a good comprehensive school but in Woking. So, not a great help. You should go to British Council and ask them to recommend you some guide books.

我個女07年來英國係state school讀year 6時,亦因為母語係中文,所以 學校初時搵左個識廣東話ge人陪佢上課,考試哥時都陪同,直至學校認為阿女ok為止。
