My boy studied in KM K1 for full year and switched to KV K1 as super big b. The reason to switch because KM starts to write Chinese and English words in K1, and my boy found it difficult and sometimes depressed. And when I got K2 syllabus in the summer holiday which I could anticipate my boy would be hard to handle, I decided to change school.
After switching to KV, no writing in K1, at first I couldn’t get used to as KV K1 is really like a happy school. Even for K2 first term, it is still easier than KM K2 first term which I compared both syllabus I have. KV starts to be more tense in K2 2nd term which also makes sense as students at that time with stronger hand muscles and better understanding, hence they can learn faster
I feel surprised sometimes people say KV is very 谷, per my personal experience, KM is more chur than KV at least before K2 term 2. Whilst for KV, my boy could still handle and finished hw within 45 mins per day, and he is happy on his school life as well.
Hope my comments can help
