The TSR link above is about Ofqual, the official body overseeing, amongst others, the GCSE/AL exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.

“national results this summer may be slightly higher than last year’s, approaching an increase of 1% GCSE and around 2% for A-level”.

As 2019's results were lower than 2018's, this year's results will only be roughly on par with those of 2018.

路過，冇乜點睇之前D留言。不過阿大（而家oxbridge) 話，大學通常會派多咗CO，會預部份人失手。今年咁嘅情形，熱門大學分分鐘first year超超額多人，所以first year尾會fail好多學生.......。入到心儀大學都唔好放鬆！

有冇家長知道現在AL 取消考試出嗰張成績單，同真係9月或之後再去考返出的成績單，會有什麼分別? 如果冇分別，大學點會知學生有去考返個試呢？只是月份分別? 因都是2020 的成績單。

I meant brand new schools (say, sixth form schools) as well as schools not yet have track records (their students have not yet reached Y11/Y13 before current year). There are no provisions for these schools in Ofqual's current standardisation methodology.

Wait … what do you mean by new schools with no track record? Schools without performance history? or without the past achievements? Which examination board are you referring to? What is "another exam board" then?

Is your child studying in UK or other places like HK ? Have you read the following …

*Which qualifications are covered?*

This information is relevant to all students and exam centres in England using the following qualifications regulated by Ofqual and offered by AQA, OCR, Pearson, WJEC Eduqas, ASDAN and City & Guilds.
• GCSEs
• AS and A levels
• Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ)
• Advanced Extension Awards (AEA) in maths

This process applies only to GCSE, AS and A levels, Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) and Advanced Extension Awards (AEA) in maths. Many students will be taking other general and vocational or technical qualifications instead of or alongside GCSEs, AS and A levels. While this process does not apply to those qualifications, the same aims apply. *We are working urgently to develop an approach and we will provide further information as soon as possible.*

We are urgently exploring whether there are alternative options for those students who do not have an existing relationship with a centre and who need results this summer for progression purposes. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to be possible for all private candidates, some of whom may instead need to take exams in the autumn to get their grades. *We appreciate that this is a matter of real concern to private candidates and will provide an update as soon as possible.*

If your child is expected to take the exams which have been cancelled but he / she is not studying in UK, you'd better seek advice from the teachers at school to confirm the arrangements.

Not really. Many details are still missing, e.g. how about new schools with no track record, students enrolling subjects from another exam board not offered by their schools/centres, etc.
