Looking back, interview classes are a waste of money.What teachers are looking for?
Potential good students (you will not want one that cries, or bullies in class, do you?)
What = potential good students?
1. Good manners (please and thank you)
2. Obeys instructions ( sit when ask to sit, stand when ask to stand)
3. Good attention span so that they will not disrupts lessons ( e.g when talked to, will listen and not stand up and run away or fidget)
4. Hygiene ( no picking nose/ potty train etc)
Tops schools:
Speech, music, sports achievements are a MUST.
So points 1-4, you can train them at home. It's really parents' work.
Children now are too reliant on maids and that is why schools want to choose. Kids now do not say thank you or look at you when spoken to (even adults!) because everyone's on the phone! And children now do not even prepare food for themselves or tie their shoelaces. Everything's done by the maids.
So begin at home. Train them yourselves.
I have seen interview lessons teachers yawning and sleeping when doors are closed.
