我小朋友2歲半，佢大部份字母已經認得，識背頭十幾個(睇youtube+奶奶教)，今 ...

2歳半學RWI 太早，一般center 學blending 要寫字的, 所以大部分RWI center 也建議4歲後才開始。個人覺得2.5歳以多伴讀開始，儲多D vocab 先，如出外學英文則以oral 為主。另可以在家聽下phonics 兒歌。

應該幾多歲開始學?想佢讀得開心+打好基礎only……

Let's talk about RWI to make this thread more informative. As I understand, RWI is basically a phonics course that puts knowledge into practice right after they were learned. It does not start from A to Z, but may pick out e.g. H, A, T to teach in a group in order to let the kids blending them into meaningful words. They get a feeling of success by able to blend and read the story just taught. The kids have to do a kind of dictation during each lesson, the teacher writes some words on the board, then rubbed out bit by bit and asks them to dictate on their notebooks. The kids also do writing (at least for green books and up), they write simple sentences around the story they just learned.

Overall I think RWI (among others) is effective from my experience.
