Yes, I'm afraid that's the case.

Since I use tutorhunt to help local/UK parents, I may as well use it as an example (there are many tutor sites in UK)


You can see the big difference in fee charged by the following two tutors : one is  £13-£15 an hour (Manchester) and the other is £35-£45 an hour (Surrey)
