LH vs SC - review

it is not another post asking your help to make decision between 2 schools.

just to post a short review to help those who are going to apply for both schools.

from the material and seminar we have seen from sc and lh, i noted there are a nos of similarities between two schools, the approach and curriculum. just name a few as follows:

- dual class teachers
- school based curriculum
- reading scheme
- show and tell
- learning aid/kits
- materials with their own characters wearing school uniform
- parent story telling
- seminars for parents

you will not make a false decision between these two schools if you are looking for the above.

There is suer class in lh but organized by outsider nit the kindergarten. They juat use tge campus for the summer class. Last summer we have the art / creative class, but most parents prefer to get travel to oversea as the holiday is 3 weeks only

no, the summer holiday for LH is only lasting for three weeks, most parents will take their kid to somewhere for vacation

Show n tell - i think it is a very common practise in most kindergarten including  SC.

show n tell is the kids are required to bring one of their personal items to school, and speak to their classmates about the things they bring to school.

LHK 未必是家長心目中的名校、學費又唔平、但我小朋友在那四年所學所得到的經驗、已經令我十分滿意學校的用心辦學。希望LHK繼續進步!

我個囡只讀過一間，比較唔到，但可以肯定嘅係LH學費超值，學費以外只有書簿費，無其他巧立名目嘅徵費

Not sure what u mean show n tell.

I believe LH is stronger than Sc in training kids for primary school interviews. Reason: one mum who has kids in both SC n LH told me that during school seminar by principal of LH , principal emphasize LH  can train kids to get into good primary school n she found homework in LH is more difficult , so I will not surprise LH provide more school interview training than SC as this is their selling point !

學之園都有好多 learning kits 比家長，開學已經比左中文字卡，英文 letterland cards, 數數目既遊戲樂 (一樣野包括顏色分辨，小肌肉訓練，數目 counting) ，letterland 書比小朋友 painting, 中文兒歌 (連簡單樂譜）, 英文兒歌，每星期有中／ 英文歌  video 比家長 (係高年級小朋友錄製，校長話升上去後，每位小朋友都有機會錄影），另有中英文學校書本派發係屋企睇，中文書仲好有特式，如班主任姓黃，書入面老師又叫黃老師，書入面圖畫仲參照學校環境繪製，例如滑梯係一樣樣！因為我係 pn 家長，開學只有一個月，知道唔多！
