We are facing this choice too.
Most likely, 90% we would go for SPCC.
From our experience, SPCC headmistress & teachers are caring, students are well-disciplined and very top academic (I read from their website 19 got into Medical School in HKU/CU last year).
DGJS, yes it is the top girls' school in Hong Kong, but if you're not the top girls in the class, some of them will not be that happy. Another thing is, DGS alwas "buy in" top athletes/musicians outside, no matter how hard you work it's very hard to reach the top rank.
I think SPCC is more all-rounded in term of "individual students", and DGS is more "all-rounded in term of "whole school".
My girl is in a kind of "girls' school" for her Kinder, mmm...already I can see the girls 愛鬥愛爭, that's why we go for SPCC as I think they can grow up in a more balanced environment with some young gentlemen.
For reference only, coz' we also have a younger brother...however, if my son is accepted by DBS+SPCC, I think it's 50%/50% coz' SPCC boys are too gentleman! (Good if my kid is a girl, but I want a stronger-smarter one...男仔要曳少少先夠型![](static/image/smiley/default/bb44.gif) ) |
