I hv the same experience in KU as well. What I've observed so far KU's theory is very impressive if u hv attended mr or mrs ho's seminar. Yet, the execution really varies fr the teachers. My son did meet a really good n motivating teacher in KU, but that good one left n changed to a less active one, then my son n the rest of the class were all lost.
Luckily, we just changed to another class and this teacher is pretty gd.
My point is the execution of KU is not consistent which also leads my hesitation to commit RMKG though I hv am offer just now.

Yes.  I've paid for it but I'm still struggling if we should let our kid get into rm.  You can get back the $18,000 four years later anyway

Have you also paid for the 18000 capital contribution? I got an offer and am struggling too. I am not sure if it is refundable in four years time if we don't go to rmkg in the end.

can I say we're in similar situation?  mine is a small kid and kinder u is the only offer by far.  i was impressed by its language environment at first.  but then i found out more and more negative comments on internet which makes me very struggle.  have u been to their pg?  i've had a bad experience.  the teacher in its pg(kinderu) is not good.  she was not able to lead the class, no one was ever concentrated on what she's teaching.  she played flash card on her own but no one was watching.  there were only 4 kids in the class, thus I'm worry how can they handle a bigger class.  it's talking about 1:10 teacher/student ratio in the pn class.  1:4 was bad like this, not to mention 1:10 right?  even tho, i've paid for the funds as our back up plan.  have you?  did you apply for am/pm/whole day class?

Yeah, some schools got a lot of outdoor areas which is something RMKG cannot offer. May be you are right, we should go to the park with our kids.
My kid got an offer from RMKG which is the only offer. I admired the language environment at first and that's why i applied for that. Mine is a nov kid so I dont have many choices anyway. From the comments that i've read so far in the internet, i have confidence that my kid can have a perfect language environment.
How about you? Have your submitted your reply slip yet? so what made you hand in the application form at first?

For Victoria, one of my friends told me that the curriculum is kinda easy which parents gotta spend lots of effort in joining the extra class in order to catch up. I'm not sure if it's true BUT she won't accept my kid who was born after 31st Aug anyway.

i more concern on if the method is suitable for my kid.  if it works on my kid it'd be perfect.  but it's not then it'd defeat the purpose i send him to kinderu.  as for the outdoor area i think we can bring him to park more often.  talking about outdoor area, i concern also on the fine motor skill training.  i think it's lack in kinderu.  what do you think?  does your kid also got kinderu offer?

i don't think there's any specific training in victoria, at least we don't have any by far.  they just speak eng/cantonese during the class (the pg is conducted by eng/cantonese).  they won't teach you any words.  i don't know if it's because they think they are too young to?? i can only say I'm totally fine with the school.  all the staff, from principle, teachers to helpers, are caring, experienced and helpful.  their notion, teaching model and system are identical and well-structured.  i am not sure on their academic training but i have no doubt on how they develop and inspire kids

BTW, How's the language training at Victoria? Is it good?

Thanks for your info!  Actually I used flash cards in an earlier stage so I've heard of what you mentioned as well.  I'm not worry about point 2&3 but 1!

見你兩邊都問同一問題，即管將我聽聞話你知：1 flash card 方法，唔係個個小朋友都有用
2 就算小朋友可以用這方法認到字，亦不等如明白該字的意思
3 flash card 的認字方法是以圖像為基礎，所以如果那圖像有改變，小朋友有可能已經唔認得那個字。例如「daddy」變了「Daddy」，或「天地」分開為「天」及「地」，小朋友有可能就唔識喇。
只是道聽途說，你自己再分析下啦。
我自己都有看過Glenn Doman 那本書,其實覺得某程度上都應該work 嘅. 但是這個方法亦有自己的盲點。你自己再研究下啦。
