Anyone got the Foundation Year application result from ISF? It was delayed over a month !

With all due respect! I did visit RC and ICS and they did reply immediately the number of applicants.  For ESF, it is pretty open.  My educated guess! the numbers might not be 100% accurate but quite close.  Just want ISF to be more open in this respect.

As a parent, I actually thought ISF's transparency has been decent.  The principal gave a state of the school presentation to any interested parents and it has fairly detailed information on plans of the school, new hirings, financial information, tuition, curriculum, ....  I don't have any basis to compare with other IS though.  As for what you would consider a simple question, the answer is simple and just a number.  But have you considered the ramifications of giving that number out?  How many schools actually give out their number of applicants?

I also think that the levels of transparency in ISF is very low.  I attended its school tour and the vice principal tried to avoid a simple question of how many applications they received for P1.

Have you got the result from ISF? We had second interview in March and have not heard anything from them since then...

Harrow and ISF can't be more different. The former follows the traditional English national curriculum and the latter is an IB school following MYP and DP curriculum with special emphasis on Chinese culture and the US syllabus (all senior students are expected to take SAT/ACL as well).  That's why the ISF is generally more favoured by returnees from the US and those who care about Chinese culture, whilst Harrow is favoured by those who want to follow the AL route.

I think Harrow will become a leading international school in HK in 10 years' time but right now it's brand new and too far away from where we live.  

I heard that ISF's students are truly bilingual but I also heard that the school is not very transparent in terms of exam results and administration/management of the school.

As I said, the school admission committee meeting has not taken place, so I assume no one gets any reply yet.
