老實說...某程度上這是DBS 同 LS既分別...不是邊過好邊個唔好既問題...而係DSS VS 津校, 一條龍 VS 聯繫+派位的問題...

有人喜歡直上, 有人鍾意派位"有賭未為輸"...家家有求...無分對錯....

我都有聽過DBS有家長確實太維護佢地o既子女, 我覺得呢一小部份家長o既做事o既手法唔係咁好, 利用一些關係而令到其他小朋友損失或減少一些本應能夠獲得的機會, 其實都不外乎$$$$, 比我感覺佢地覺得係用$$$$解決到o既問題就唔係問題, 雖然係有d咁o既情況, 但無可否認DBS始終都係最top的其中一份子...

I never said DBS is the best.
But nevertheless, it is a school of very high standing in Hong Kong.
All I am saying is that it is not easy to get into a secondary school as good as DBS.
How many TSL boys can get into a school equivalent to or better than DBS - 10%? 20%? 30%? 50%?
At the end of the day you are still risking your son ending up in a secondary school of a lower standing than DBS.
So why take that chance?

當然不會憑一個家長的言行為斷定生死
但係, 都是一個參考
正如我地成日見到某某校的學生的表現唔好, 就認定佢間學校唔好一樣, 同一道理吧

i don't think you should select the school base on which school is better than the other....  
however, you should choose the one better match your educational vision and suitable your child's learning style.

However much you like TSL, can you be sure that after 6 years at TSL, your son can get into a better secondary school than DBS?
If money is not a problem, I shan't hesitate even for a second in picking DBSPD.

我又唔覺得dbs 好貴族喎, 有錢人係比較多, 但我覺得hk island 好多學校仲貴族過佢....

I observed even some of them are come from middle and upper middle classes, but they didn't boast much in the school and not use it to discriminate other students.

Interestingly, some parents will label this as disadvantage of elite schools.

我囡囡KG老師都話TSL麻麻,所以都冇去考到~ 我覺得佢只係一間較經濟既直資而已~
