I am the first to post this thread 2 years ago and same case this year.  Must thank you the postmen in my area who always deliver letters to us so early in the morning!

Letters are postmarked on Feb. 12 (Saturday), so some parents should be able to receive it today or tomorrow.  Remind parents registration will take place on Feb. 22.

They do send ejection letters out, just that only accepted one will be shown in their website.  It is not posted yet since it is not 15th yet.

If you ask me, I certainly would not suggest you to do that.  Be considerate and wait for the letters first.  If you don't get it later this week, then certainly you should call.

Congratulations!!!  Yeah, they like to accept both of the twins together that's why we have plenty of twins in the kindergarten.

October babies will probably have near no chances at SPK.  For SHCK, although they allow super big B (up to October of the previous year) to apply next year, but I seldom find super big Bs in the kindergarten so not sure.  Or else, you can try apply K2 next year.  My elder one has a new classmate this year from St. Cat. in K2.  But seats are limited with some boys leaving for St. Jo in the past.  But this won't happen as they are closing.

Or else, you can try SPK for K1 again next year.  Really depends on what you are looking for.

You can always try.  There are chances to make a transfer with a valid reason (not all but at least some).

I guess I won't try to compare the two kindergartens in overall as I respect everyone should have their own preferences.

Solely on curriculum, SPK has its own designed curriculum so they don't use books from external sources.  Also heard they have a very special way of teaching phonics but I dunno the details.  But this is started in K2.

For SHCK, there will be home assignments starting from K1 for almost everyday.  They are rather simple but children will establish a good habits to finish homeworks everyday.  Phonics start in K1, and there will be dot joining and drawing to do from K1.  There are NET teachers for both English (almost everyday) and PTH, but PTH time is really minimal.

Congratulations!

Schedule this year: Pick up time is 11:55 at 坑口港鐵站 (名成街小巴站), and return at around 17:40.  The school bus will stop inside the covered carpark.

However, still need to work with Kwoon Chung to confirm the Kowloon bus routes in coming months!

The group admitted this year will be another headache, with the larger number of kindergarten students from same year.

Basically they will try to accept as much as they can, the preference do go to own kindergraten students but not in the form of a guarantee.

Also, number will affect by the number of students heading to the gov't aided section too.

Oh sorry, it's my fault!  I was typing the reply during a conference call and used the term "NET teacher" incorrectly.  Those are just language teachers who are specialized in English and PTH teaching.  They may not be native.  This year there are three English teachers, two looks like Chinese and the other one is a Caucasian from UK.  There will be a language class everyday (at least for K2, either English or PTH).  May be it is less often in K1.

Anyway, there are no right or wrong reasons, and I wouldn't tell you to make up a reason for sure.  So, just let them know why you would like such a request and they will make the decision accordingly.
