SPCC vs CKY

Hello all,

Feeling very depressed. Another crash on 9 Oct!

SPCC at 2:45pm, CKY at 4:15pm

How to manage?

Anyone knows how long it will last for SPCC interview?

That was the situation 2 years ago in 2008 - I don't know if the rules have changes.  

In one case (my son's classmate), the boy did not attend the 1st interview.  The school rang up the parents to ask why and if they wanted a different time.  The parent turned down the offer as they had already confirmed another school.

In another case (the classmate of my friend's child who was admitted), the parents rang in advance to re-arrange another time as the mother was hospitalised.  Medical proof provided.  The child was given another time.

Think if you really like both school?
There are 6 exams in one school(the 1st one will be on 6th Oct), exactly 4 of them are tests(scheduled in normal time table) but they still call them examination, they just worry that the kids would took them too easy.

The other one has only 2 exams but they call them assessment. They just worry that the kids would be too stressful.
I knew a P2 kid even didn't know the word 'examination' though she can speak fluent English!

I submitted on 8 Sep noon time. Really did not expect to crash with SPCC as their interview internal is last for a month....

My situation is:

1) DGS - her mom (i.e. me) is old girls, but only 1 student from my girl's kindergarten got it DGS last year. Plus, they don't count marks on old girls.

2) SPCC - non related, but 8 student (out of 70) from my girl's kindergarten got into SPCC last year.  Plus, my girl is a "small" girl that SPCC usually don't like.

So, I should defintely go to DGS instead, right?  But as you mentioned before, I will feel regret for not attending SPCC's interview even though the chance of getting in is very minimal.

Hi munce,

Don't worry!  I think you have enough time to CKY but of course you better to arrange a private car waiting outside SPCC or arrange a taxi in advance.  

If you can arrive 30 minutes earlier, they will let you go inside.
