G5, and he never have any theory exam before. Not even know what is theory in the beginning.

Hah! Feb 6th will be theory exam for my son. I really don't think he can pass it. He keep on doing the test paper but still a lot of mistakes appear. Include this months, he been taking 28 hours lessons since last March.
Nothing to do but just blessing him.

Don't worry. My son took the Grade 5 Theory Exam when he was in Garde 3. He only took 12 lessons. The important thing is practising more in pass papers.

Thanks all for the support.
Beside 4 lessons per month, I have add 4 more lessons in Christmas holiday. And 4 extra lessons on Jan. That's all I can do and hope he can pass itat the end.

Theory is really poor for kids.....

I have two students who are also P4 and all got pass on 10/10 exams.

To pass the exam, do homework and past paper is really very important. Students MUST to do so.

Try to explain to him and find out why he don't want to do homework.

My daughter (she is also P4 this year) has learnt music theory since November last year (i.e. for almost one year) and she passed in the exam on 10 October this year.

Maybe you can let your son take the next exam.

My son learn Theory since April. In the beginnig I am planning to have exam on Oct. At last the teacher told me he was not ready. (He don't want to do homeworks and so).
He is in P4 now, is he too young to learn Theory, he seem don't really understand the concept. Can any experience parent help?
He is going to take G6 exam next year, but he need to first PASS the G5 theory.

I don't want him to quit now cause I have spend some much time and money on it.
