"07/08有177位VK揀升讀VSA,但08/09只有104位VK揀.."
In 07/08, the School promised that once you had signed the undertaking letter, your kid would get a seat. Eventually, 177 No (may be slightly more than that) did it. Given the promise, the School had to arrange 7 classes (instead of the usual 5 classes). You can easily verify this fact since only P.2 (the 07/08 group) has 7 classes. The School said that they could only keep 5 classes in each grade, that's why the number drops a lot in 08/09. Merely comparing these two numbers is meaningless.
mcheung1 - It seems that you are much concerned with the standard of Chinese language. For your information, in VSA, they have employed consultant from Mainland to look after this aspect. For P.1 and P.2 (I don't know those in upper grades), Chinese textbooks are specially written to tie in with the Unit of Inquiry. Better quality materials are borrrowed and used. I find that the Chinese teachers are good. In fact, I am very concerned about the Chinese standard of a School too, especially in Primary School. |
