訪問一下就讀"根德園"的媽咪的感受:

~有人話~

~呢間學校好嚴,讀書谷得好勁.(我覺得如果小朋友係適合,相信都是一件好事)

~沒有旅行去,少活動.(咁又好似悶左D)

~好似令小朋友無晒"童年"咁!!(呢句就好似誇左D, without school day,家長都都會和小朋友去玩啦.)

~但係呢間學校,出的學生升小一,真係很好.

You may go to the K3 parents chat from last year and you will find out.
I think you may also try to call KV school office to find out. Some schools will do the statistic on this.
I think KV students everywhere, govt/govt aided schools, private schools, DSS or maybe international schools.
Ying Wah, KTS, SFA, DBS, DJS, LS, MCS, KRS, GH, etc etc.
Look back chat room of previous K3 parents, you will find out more.

如果你要好creative,我諗可能International kindergarten啱你多d。

至於KV,亞囡讀K1時,最初上學期嘅填色功課(主要練下d小肌內),都係將個公仔/物件填完顏色就交。但到下學期嘅填色功課已鼓勵小朋友喺畫上加上其他自由創作嘅公仔/物件,e.g.幅畫其實只得一架車,亞囡填完顏色後又會畫上乘客、交通燈、馬路、地面雙黃線、太陽、雲....,總知你想加乜就盡情加上去。至於美勞方面,我見經常用唔同物料做--枯葉、棉花、紙碟、紙袋、廁紙筒,而通常美勞作品上畫嘅圖案係小朋友自由發揮,好似做紙鳶咁,上面佈置嘅圖案由小朋友自己決定。喺奧運期間,小朋友要畫一d有關奧運嘅嘢佈置課室。

到家下K2周不時要做親子美勞,e.g.用枯葉去砌隻動物圖案,剛啱呢個星期,老師比咗3張coloured paper,叫小朋友及家長設計聖誕吊飾。另外每教一本書,會有一個新主題,好似今期講動物,老師鼓勵小朋友帶有關動物嘅嘢、或畫動物嘅畫返學校佈置課室,亞囡用poster paint畫咗隻粉紅/黃色嘅馬返去佈置課室。老師亦會鼓勵小朋友平時畫下畫、寫下字帶返去比老師睇,其實至在練下小朋友畫嘢、寫字,亞囡試過話畫公主。

至於英文堂,係每日都有,我冇探求過exactly有幾多。主要學術性科目分四大範疇--中文、英文、數學及常識,其餘有音樂、美勞、PE堂,英文係主科之一,所以佔比重唔會太少。另外,數學嘅所有功課及assessment paper都係英文嚟嘅,所以上堂唔多唔少都會用英文。音樂堂都會教小朋友唱好多英文nursery rhymes,喺教每首歌點唱之前,係會先教晒成首歌歌詞嘅讀音,待小朋友掌握晒成首歌詞先教唱。

普通話由K2開始有得上,每星期都有,每次亞囡返嚟都有up下小小普通話。

以上係我個人嘅了解,如有錯漏希望其他KV家長更正/補充。

通常weekends問嘢,你唔好expect咁快有人覆你,如果你喺個forum留意下就知道通常喺weekdays會多d feedbacks。

I don't know how much time spent on English teaching. I think that they have English class every day. I don't know much about Mandarin teaching either. Parents have different point of view when selecting kindergartens for their children. If you want NET, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, proficiency in foreign languages, I think you need to look for other kindergartens.

我想問吓讀梗KV既家長知唔知曾經有冇學生係跟唔上，學校要求個小朋友轉學架？因我自己之前打過去學校問過，如果跟唔上會點，個老師就同我講會要求佢轉校，真係想知有冇學生曾經試過呢？

請問有冇讀緊KV的家長,你個仔/女系未讀KV時系非常好動,晤肯坐定定架,依家讀左之后情況如何?可否分享下?因為我個仔好動,晤肯坐定定,我好想佢去KV學好自律,但又惊如KV太著重紀律,與阿仔性格相反,會否出反效果,所以想各位家長分享下

我個囡宜家都係KV嘅k1學生， 雖然只係短短讀咗兩個月，但係我完全唔覺得佢讀得唔開心，同好悶，反而佢好鍾意返學，又識得守規矩，肯受教， 呢D都係佢返咗KV後嘅轉變，呢D都令我對KV有百分百信心，我唔覺得學校冇活動，只不過冇咁多，其實我覺得咁樣仲好，有多D彈性俾我哋屋企人同仔女自己出外享受家庭樂。我認為呢三年學到幾多唔重要，最重要俾佢有個愉快學習的經歷， 呢樣先至對佢將來嘅學習態度有莫大幫助!!

I have 2 kids studying in KV.

My girl is now P.1 - she loves her primary school but still missing KV.  Sometimes she will go with my maid to pick up my son who is now studying K2.  She huge her K3 teacher everytime when met them in the school.  By the way, she get use to her primary school life quicky.  She can finish her homework (of course not all correct) before we return home (good paratice from KV to do homework by themselves since K1).  But we still need to check her homework everyday.

My son now in K.2 - everyday got 3 types of homework and pretty rush coz K.2 is afternoon class. But most of the time he can finish his homework before we arrive home.  We need to help him to paratice dictation weekly (which I don't need to do with my daughter before).  Anyway, everyone is different on their learning curve.......but KV is really a good school.

No worry, your kid will love it even no school activity with parents but they got different activities for your kid in the school.

語言係要keep住用架, 唔係會好易生疏.

1) 英文 他keep住在家同工人姐姐溝通, 所以冇問題.
2) 他也學普通話近5個月了, 他很喜歡上堂,
    在家會讓他定時睇普通話dvd卡通.
3) 廣東話就靠我們日常溝通及學校用.

而且佢而家識得轉channel, 我先用廣東話問佢問題,然後要
佢同様地用英文及普通話答一次, 睇佢吸收幾多羅.

那有沒有覺得他的英文退步呢, 因學校較重視中文,因我的小朋友讀了pre nursery,我覺得他的普通話退步了,

我起初都好似你一樣擔心的, 我小朋友已經是K2啦,

他入學半年都是講英文, 不懂中文, 我那時隨時準備轉
另低一級的學校供他讀.

K1老師很有愛心, 返學學唱兒歌,做填色, 學晝線, 寫A-Z,
日子過得好開心.

Phonetic is also quite popular now .... one question
... if the kid has a elder sister or brother, who is studying in KV, does this kid have a higher chance to be accepted by KV ?

K2唔覺有phonics學,不過讀KV嘅,有好多都有喺出面join d英文native興趣班。

題外話:我識得兩位媽咪,佢哋小朋友都係讀九龍塘另一所亦有好多家長鍾意嘅名幼稚園(有native亦有phonics教嘅),但同樣有幫小朋友喺出面報phonics班,問佢哋原因,家長(1)想小朋友當温習咁學得好d熟d,家長(2)想小朋友未喺學校學phonics前要快人一步學識。.......咁當初其實入呢間學校為乜嘢?

其實每間幼稚園都有自己嘅強與弱,只要確定自己想小朋友得到d乜,然後取強補弱,自然兩者兼得啦!
