It is a good playgroup.
Not because of its English, but because of its 'ethical' & 'life' training. They always train your kid to be a good citizen. Besides, they provide a pleasant learing environment to your kids.

Thanks for your info. But no Saturday lesson, make me disappointed. Because I am working mama, only Sat and Sun can take my kid to attend playgroup. Anyway, thanks a lot!

Two alternatives:-
1. ask your Filipino Maid to accompany the baby which I did in the past
2. ask your elderlies to accompany the baby which I found other bodies did in the past; you have no need to be afraid of the fact that your elderlies don't know English; actualy the instructors can speak Cantonese though they are NET; my Filipino Maid told me that the NET were very kind and could communicate with elderlies very good in Cantonese

No.
It is per term.
Each term is 2.5mth
For $7000+ weekly 5-day course

Just has mentioned before, $7000+ is for one term 2.5mth 5-day-weekly course.

YMCA Toddlers World is also a famous brand name.

My daughter (now 3 years and 8 months old) has joined the "Afternoon Interest Class" for 2 terms (about half year) and she loves it so much, especially the teachers there. They are really nice.

Now, I'm looking for one class at YMCA (TS) for my son (who's now 2 years and 1 month old). I believe the teachers in "Toddler's World" are also very good, aren't they? "

er Term"? Actually, how many lessons are involved per term?

Each class of Toddlers' World has about 13 students with 2 instructors.

Teachers are great and patient! If your class teachers can't speak Cantonese, they would offer others to help. In fact, parents over there are really willing to help most of the times.

Nowadays, kids are spoiled by maid or grandparents. Toddlers' World can train up kids to be discipline and responsible. My son (2 and 1/2) cleans up his toys by himself at home every day now. I did teach him since he was young but don't know why teachers always have better ways to make him follow.

$7100/3month is about $2400 for 5 days playgroup. So, not really too expensive.

From my opinion, what you get is much more than what you pay.

I think if SC is your targeted kindergarten. Toddler's world of YMCA in Tsim sha tsui will be the best choice. My daughter studied there in 2002/2003. I remembered that most of children in my daughter's class who applied SC received entrance into SC. Toddler's World has 3 terms a year. Duration:2 hours. 2 days/week or 3 days/week or 5 days/week
HKD7,100 is tuition fee for 5 days/week.

The fee is not expensive. In the class, they sang a lot of nursery rhymes, big story book telling, praying, see Barney TV, learn weather, dates, numbers, colours, shapes and a lot of different toys. And they organised a last party for each term. No extra fee for the party and outing. For x'mas, they will invite a real Santa Claus to the party.

Tutors are Indians with good English accent, with love and patience.
