The reason is that in the past many CCKG students were admitted to DPS and DGS. As such, it is generally believed that CCKG has close connection with the two renowned primary schools and thus has privilege over other kindergartens.
This may be an over simplified or perhaps erroneous conception. To a certain extent, such belief may be true in so far as girls are concerned because DGS is a private school, which has the unfettered right to choose its owns students. However, it is only a mistaken belief when talking about boys. The reason being that DPS is a government subsidised primary school that basically most, if not all, students are admitted by relationship (e.g. the elder brother is studying there) or points system, and the remainders are from 'lucky draw' (i.e., central allocation of spaces).
Whether there is any privilege or advantage for CCKG boy students in gaining entry to the DBSPD is yet to be seen as it is too early to draw any concrete conclusion for the time being since the latter is a new school of only 2 years (please correct me if I am wrong in this connection).
