感覺有熱誠老師亦有愛心

明顯感到學校放慢手脚，家長亦投訴無門

1.校舍細(註冊課室7個) 但大量招收低班(LN A-J 班) ，導致嚴重影響學生活動範圍及時間
2.多個星期沒英文功課，家長查問後始派發由網上download 的工作紙，而且一星期派一次叫學生回家每天做一章並於下星期交回，最可怕的是該位老師一星期一次的工作竟還可以多次遲1-2天才給學生
3.被家長發現長期將2班學生合併上課，竟解釋是為方便學生彩排校內的聖誕表演，犧牲學生近2個月時間只為校內表演彩排
4.濫加雜費，上學期$5500狂加致下學期$6700全年1萬2千多元真的貴絕全港,家長查問加費原因竟出現多個版本，真是當家長是傻的麼？

My son graduated in another branch of THINK few years ago. As far as I remember, he didn't have daily English homework too. They just have English classwork. I think they do not follow the HK way of teaching English, meaning that they won't have English "homework" as other HK Schools or as their own Chinese curriculum. I don't see much problem as he can still learn very well. My son's English is way better than his Chinese even he had his Chinese homework everyday back then! In fact, the school has laid a very strong English foundation for him as he didn't have any extra English outside, just extensive reading.

Don't demand for more homework .... demand for more reading time instead! It is far far more important (and effective) for primary school and for long term language development.

不是要求功課多少的問題，而是學校/老師變得愛理不理，更重要是早段時間是小一面試高峰期呢，我同意早幾年前Think是一間很不錯的幼稚園，但今天我看到的，就是他們以為自已有名氣了而大量收生狂加雜費，更實際的情況是今年下學期不少全日班的因感到浪費金錢，但轉校又怕小朋友要重新適應而迫不得意轉半日班，令原本半日班的學習環境更擠迫，雖明這對半日班極不公平但家長又能何去何從？

I don;t know if there are changes or not now. I remember when my elder son was in wholeday school, he joined the am section in am and then project section in pm, so even when a student change it back to half-day, it won't affect the original class size in am.

What I agree is ... the school fee and miscellaneous fee are quite expensive but then I still put my younger son there in LN, basically I think the training and language environment benefit my elder son a lot. He is now in a traditional primary school and is doing very well academically too. May be I do not buy schools teaching very difficult syllabus and have a lot of homework in KG level, that's why I think the school fits me and my kids. One thing that I will to do more for my younger son, after having my elder son's experience, is to enhance his Chinese level by reading more Chinese story books as Primary level Chinese is extremely difficult!

除了學校，孩子的天份及家人的支援當然更為重要，我也恭喜你的孩子擁有愉快的小學生活，亦明白幼稚園階段只是一個起步，但既然討論的是選校問題，我會就今天的情況提出討論！

明白……我也不是要幫學校，作為家長，當然我也想學費平些，而我也覺得她的雜費要透明些，因為實在唔太清楚。而我分享以前的情況，也只想表達撰校時要多了解學校的理念e.g教法，homework frequency,否則會失望，亦難期望學校會有所改變。人家從來也没有很多的英文功課，大部份只是堂課，你們又硬要加，佢當然衍了事啦！楼主，其實我覺得york和think是兩類型的學校，你buy Think的，基本上也不會buy york,相反亦然。但不代表學校不好，只是不乎合你的理念。
至於全日班，我小兒也將會讀全日UN, 以我所知，上午時全日和半日是會一同上課，就算轉回半日，也只會減少下午project班的人数，不知有否理解錯？！

至於她有否因收盡pn的人数而影響其他班級的resources我就不作評論，因為我不知道。

不是家長要求硬加功課，而是忽然間英文科變0功課才會有家長查問，而同時間被發現合班上課才令人懷疑因招收太多UN而導致人手分配出現問題，而用近2個月彩排合班比較方便的講法亦難以令人信服，更有令人感到校方那種都K3了還怕家長會跑得掉的態度。

解答另一位朋友的問題
全日轉半日很大部份是不滿學校的教育質素，孩子K3是跑不掉了(小一沒著落的還是要拼喔)但轉校對孩子影響可能會很大，所以都情願轉半天，學費能便宜一點作無聲抗議吧！

As far as I remember ... my son really didn't have English Homework .. he finished everything at school for English. The school has her own designed exercise books so I guess the teacher will just give out those set exercises used by the 4 branches.

For those choosing whole day school.... if you expect the school will provide a lot of academic drillings in the PM section of its WD school, never choose whole day. It is because they just learn through play in Cantonese / English in pm, depending on which language you choose. Whether it worths the money depends on if you think learning through play is ok or not.

Some of my son's classmates changed back to half-day as they want to learn extra-curricular activities in pm and some thought it's cheaper if they learn a lot of ECA outside in pm + am school.
