請問係咪一定要讀？如果唔讀係咪好難入大學？
因為我仔就快去英國讀gcse,我哥、嫂會係佢guardian,我嫂係甘同我講話讀a level冇用，讀完gcse 後去選讀自己喜歡科目，之後入大學容易D。
甘點解甘多人仲讀a level ?!佢話D人唔知啫！

但佢兩個仔女都讀a level先入大學的。

可參考大學所公佈的收生要求，如校内成績/會考/高考/文憑/副學士/高级文憑，另1ELTS成绩

本人之女兒於今年考 IGCSE, 後會轉大專, 讀英大學有多個途徑, A Level, foundation, diploma etc, 學校會睇返你小朋友嘅成績, 同佢做個 Skype interview, 傾下偈, 然後 advice 佢讀嘜.

因是小康之家,呀仔去英國讀有經濟壓力,好似滿16歲高中可讀政府的,請問大家有邊間讀書風氣及校風好有宿舍的政府學校推介?平均政府學費約7000磅+5000住homestay,介紹應找agent一問或上網看學校成績.因呀仔讀書又心散性格易受人影響怕佢群壞,所以想揾讀書風氣及校風好的,不如選遍遠及少華人地方學校,俾佢集中精神少誘惑...

你要有入大學成績.大學才可評估,現太早了,還有你小朋友興趣是什麽?有興趣讀成績就好,只想讀寄宿政府學校不想住寄住家庭有乜學校推介呢?如學校包宿舍及三歺,就很貴,如brockenhurst college政府的A level , ib, vtc, foundation 全年約6500磅,一年A level 約7500, homestay 有41w 約5500 磅 Cardiff sixth form college 私立的A level 一年約25000磅

謝謝你，我兒子是British, 不知道需不需要比學費，如要都是local fee. 幸好佢會stay晌我哥度，所以我不需要有龐大支出。

本來以為佢可以讀local school 同佢表哥一齊返學，點知16歲多數唔收，而家要讀college

朋友囝囝17歲 F.5，取得 UK conditional offer 讀 international foundation year ，如 F.5 Final Exam & iELTS 成績達標，9 月便去 UK 讀一年 foundation，再接上大學 year one. 不用考 DSE.

For prospective UK students and parents, I would advise you to attend some seminar provided/ organized by British Council for DSE students and they amy can provide more info. on foundation course and A levels.

I recalled University of Warwick provided one-day trial of her foundation course but I did not attend it so I have no further info.

I think a very important factor is if there are any particular universities or faculties that your child is targeting, and whether it would be easy for students going through the route of foundation course to get the entry ticket to those universities and/or faculties. For example, if your child is aiming at Oxbridge or the medical school, then foundation may not be the most preferred route.

I personally prefer A-Level over foundation course, as I think A-Level has a wider recognition outside of UK -- so this opens more avenues to the child post-secondary school.

Having said that, I also know of cases whereby some students got into well known UK universities through the foundation program. At the end of the day, it really depends on your target of uni and faculty.
