agreed! learning stuff in advance is not healthy. the best way of learning, to me, is learning through play.

5洗去研究人地既睇法啦。青菜蘿白，各有喜好。人地覺得差未必5啱你，相反人地覺得好右未必一定好，你自己覺得邊樣啱你小朋友米得囉。

每個人的喜好不同，有家長喜歡幼稚園教得深，有些要小朋友讀兩間幼稚園，有些讀一間但放學後要小朋友去補習/上興趣班。

在這裡最緊要立場夠堅定，知道自己想找哪類型的幼稚園，不要被其他人影響。

I prefer learning through play and let the kids explore instead of teachers pushing information to them. I prefer the kids not to learn in advance (ex: learning K2 stuff in K1). I prefer social skills development more than academic knowledge in kindergarten.
Also, the so called discipline behaviour is not my cup of tea (ex: making the kids sit and listen for a long time i.e. a one way street). Forcing the kids to put their hands behind the back when they walk, for example, is not my cup of tea either.

我答:

現K1家長唔介意老師教混顏色，做實驗，教為何會下雨，4季天氣，交通公具，甚至如何造紙，太陽系的行星……etc.

天文地理都冇所謂……

但不可以從課本上，靠認讀生字，背誦課文來「認識」。我要求小朋友明個concept.

更不可抽生字不停重複抄寫，weekly dictation, 然後打分，再在班裡用成績來排名次。

SC is a very good kindergarten.

Very structured curriculum.

Cheerful happy kids
