My son is attending NCC now but will not continue after finishing the existing term at the end of this month. I am quite happy with the playgroup in general. However my boy is attending montessori playgroup on weekdays now, and we dont want him to attend more than one playgroup, so we decided to give up NCC. I think the contents of the 2 hours playgroup at NCC is quite intensive. I actually quite like the idea of moving to different rooms for different purposes. In the usual classroom, the kids have to sit and do some arts and crafts works. Some parents complained that classroom is too small, but I find it acceptable, coz kids have to learn to sit still and discipline at some point of time. There is also outdoor playgroup session and sing and play session at the playroom where the kids are free to roam about. Again some parents complained about the inconvenience of stairs, but I think it's good to let the kids learn how to line up and walk up and down the stairs. No problem for me.
Honestly apart from the montessori playgroup and one trial class at Bambini, NCC is the only playgroup I have attended so far. So my comments might be subjective. Personally I find it better than Bambini. Most teachers at NCC are Indians, and indeed have Indian accents which I find acceptable, given that I am a native English speaker myself. |
