My son is enjoyed on his school life...would like to post two examples for your determine if go to KV or not:
1. One day (after he studys at KV two months, I played with my son). Suddenly, he put ten books on the table, and says ten and then reduce two book...say it's eight....reduce two book became eight and like a rectangle. My son say it's rectangle. In the parent's day. I asked teacher is it learned from the school. However, the teacher say she never tell my son eight books become a rectangle. We found he can make use on what he learns from school and found the method to pay by himself. It's amazing.
2. He can remeber what he learns:
When he learns the chinese wording i.e. 雞, there are action and song to help him remember.

小雞小雞 你在哪裡
咯咯咯咯 我在這裡
My son had studied at active teaching method kinder! However, I can't see such progress on my son. Therefore, I wrote KV has it's special method to teach kids that let them to be smart. Also, I am very concern on the base of the kids. If your kids can't be smart on P.1, how can he learned more and more, familar on what he learns...how can he makes use on all his knowledge?? I am agree on the principle of Yingwah say, the active learning is for those kids has good based...without it, how can they used their knowlege if they don't know.
