各位啟思家長,

請談談小朋友在校的情况,例如老師教學如何? 有愛心嗎? 會否如普通校般,忽略表現一般的小朋友?
你們認為課程有何優點呢?有人說啟思似大學的教法,很重project base 's work, 使小朋友活學,是不是呢?還是有其他看法? 學校現在是否全行IB, 及語言方面又如何
請各位給點意見!

Hi Jenny1234,
let me try answer some of your questions:

1. 請談談小朋友在校的情况 - i would say my kid is happy. I was told teachers are around in diff places during recess time and lunch time (esp for P1/2 students)
例如老師教學如何?
有愛心嗎? - 100% sure
會否如普通校般,忽略表現一般的小朋友? - definitely not. The teachers know the kids quite well, esp class teacher
你們認為課程有何優點呢?有人說啟思似大學的教法,很重project base 's work, - not quite

還還是有其他看法?
學校現在是否全行IB - CPS is IB candidate school as of today, not fully execute IB yet (other parents pls correct me if i m wrong)
及語言方面又如何 - what exactly u'd want to know? let me c if i can answer.

Hi Jenny1234, pls c if below helps

Eng
- there is both Chinese teacher teaching 'main course' and NET teaching phonics and oral practice. i think the standard is fair.
- Textbook is "My Pals are Here".

Ch
- u can choose using PTH or Cantonese to learn Chinese subject. There r 1 class using Cantonese and 3 using PTH these few years.
- focus for P1 & 2 is to recognise Ch words. This is so called 'Student Oriented Approach'. The curriculum is a bit different from other Pri schools.
- The Chinese teacher says that students in recent years following this approach catch up better in P3 than those in previous years.

Both subjects are taught 'all rounded' and exam covers Oral, Reading, Writing & Listening.

Hi parents of CPS,

I would like to know whether the Maths and General Studies are taught in Chinese or English? Which textbooks are used in both of these subjects?
