點解唔比請假？唔係學校幫你報既咩？我地上年同今年都應該只會早走，唔會請晒成日。

個比賽要會員先報到，咁你一定係教音樂的了。
如果要測驗等等就冇法，但係請病假去唔係幾好，會教壞小朋友，點解唔可以請事假既？

都幾奇怪，校際音樂節係學界都算係盛事，竟然有學校唔比學生請假參加比賽？我第一次聽聞。
如果真是這樣，唯有放棄。不過，我會同學校反映問題。

I also don't know the school would not allow students to take some time off!! How about just take some lessons off??

I have never heard of such thing either! I have students who attend international schools, therefore the schools don't help them apply to HKSMA competitions. However, when I apply for them, when the time comes to go to compete, you simply inform the school that your child has a competition to go to, the school has no right to stop you from getting a holiday. As long as your child follows up the homework, why can't you ask for the half day off?

What about asking holiday for other reasons? Your school would not allow you either?
This is funny, your child is helping your school to gain "reputation" by participating in the biggest music competition in HK.

Curious what school is this.

你可以試下影印校際的收據給校長,唔通張收據都有假?何況你都是代表間學校,校長唔會唔給你小朋友去,不要放棄,加油!

我唔想叫我女講大話, 而且如果有人問佢就一定會唔小心講左出來, 到時唔只曠課, 我怕可能記過. 所以我決定唔去.

As a teacher in music, I find your post very sad and find it ridiculous. (No offense).

If every school and parent acted like you, our music culture and education would be dead already.

What school is this? I would report it to HKSMA, although the school is not a member, it would be good for them to know that such schools exist that deter and discourage and not allow students to participate in such events.

But you still didn't say whether you informed your school your child is attending THIS competition. Did you ??
