My girl is in year 1 now, I think the school does put a lot effort in building the phonics and reading skills. My little girl shows interest in reading book on her own. The good thing is she learn in eager. Family support is important too, of course.

I do not put pressure on her, 'cause I think she is still little. I have confident on the school English standard, at the end, it's British style school. But do not expect too much on Mandarin class. The school teaches in a rather relaxing fun style. They just sing and learn simple words.

Hope I can give you an idea of the school.

A pressure-free, happy school.
My girl likes reading a lot. In early Nov I bought her a Nintendo Wii with a few games. She just played it once in the first day and then never touch it. She always reads, reads, reads, both in English and Chinese, and complains there are not enough books to read. I think she finds reading more interesting than playing TV games.
