我仔仔是st. jo幼稚園的學生,是家中細仔, 所以第一輪派位應該排唔派原校, 只可以希望第二輪派位,但又怕st.jo收生小。

另外, 港大同學會收了我仔仔,但如果我註冊了便失去派位機會.....真係好矛盾呀!

現想請教你們我應該點選擇好呢??

我都真係要好好考慮一下, 由於我無去聽到港大的講座,所以我真係唔係好了解,只係知道佢係一條龍+活動教學, 唔知你地可否比多d有關港大的資訊我呀,例如: 多唔多功課及測試?
又如果我註冊了港大, 而同事又有其他私校/直資收我仔仔時,咁我仲可唔可以選擇其他學校呢??

My son is now currently studying St Joe Primary School. He also was a St Joe Kindergarten. My son was lucky to have got into this school through the lucky draw. I know that last year only half of the student's from the kindergarten got places for the primary section. The worst result ever, before nearly 90% of the St. Joe's kindergaten would be offered places, especially through the knock-door stage. Due to the number of places for the primary section have been cut by neary 100 seats.

I took the risk for the lucky draw because my son was offered a place at St. Louis Primary School and that school allowed students to go through the lucky draw. If my son wasn't allocated to St. Joe Primary I would have registered for St. Louis.

I think the two schools are very very very different and you have to see if you could agree to either one's approach before you can make the decision.

我大女現在讀緊st. paul convent, 已經好多o野要溫習, 如果我仔仔讀sjp我諗我一定嘔血都似, 因為我是個在職的媽媽

但我老公又好鍾情sjp....都唔知點好...

My son only had 10 points for the appropriate age group. I got in through the last stage by the lucky draw. It is very important to use a Wanchai address for this stage. I was very very luckly my son got in by pure luck.

I personally prefer old traditional school. They definately have a way nurturing their student's. St. Joe teaches very fast compared to other non-traditional school. In six weeks my son was taught 10 chapters of chinese. They don't just dictate the key words they literally expect the children to know how to spell the words of the whole chapter. During the test week they still give out homework, giving the children little time to revise.

Traditional schools I personally think only works for children whom are willing to learn and co-operate even if the child is not so clever. If your child always throws a tantrum and refusestodo his homework then don't send your child to St Joe. He will hate the school and you will have trouble teaching him.

媽媽唔多唔少都知道自己小朋友嘅優點缺點，同埋自己可以offer 幾多assistance 俾小朋友。

我都識得好幾個小朋友喺St Paul's Convent，都估到再職媽媽幾吃力。

St Jo 我識得好少，一個亞媽話好易讀但佢個仔係自動波書生型，食飯都揸住本書。另一個亞媽話唔可以忍受低分，因為佢地測驗考試範圍 fix 咗就唔會問d好"了lung"嘅嘢。我只係聽佢地講，無睇過佢地d curriculum, papers etc.

我兩個仔女性格天資好唔同，所以揀學校嘅style 都唔同，希望配合佢地 la!
