They look at the background of the parents and if your child is really outstanding and fit their profile, then yes he/she may have a chance. Those that I know who got into CIS, their parents are either alumni or staff members. And a blonde british girl whom is extremely bright and can speak fluent mandarin (and she is probably the only one I know who is not affiliated). And they all share one thing in common - very well off.

Victoria CB? 咁啱姐。You really think this is a feeder school? I know tons of Victoria CB students applied and failed.

No , none is feeder school, but vic prepares local kids to be good enough in eng and mandarin.
Btw if you wait till y7-y9, it’s much easier to get in
