I understand YMCA's course is opened for both members and non-members. However, if you want to pay the member price, you must join the family membership because your daughter is too young to be independent member.

How old is your daughter? My daughter joined as single member only.

If too expensive, then simply join the activities as non-member.

Sometimes they have special discounts for certain credit card holders! They were just having one promotion when I joined in March, you can check if they still have such offers!

For some activities, like swimming courses, it is very difficult to get a place if you are a non-member. However, why don't you try to enrol as non-member first? They will return the cheque to you if the courses are full.

I think they are now promoting the membership at this moment. For family membership (child under six should get this type) I think should be $1800.
Just call 2268-7070 to find out.

Hi! JJ

My son (3yr 10 mth) has just started his first YMCA swimming course lesson last Sat. There are about 9 kids and 2 coaches. The coaches played with them in a shallow pool to make them feel relax. Parents can stay close to the pool within the fences. My son likes the course very much!

I am not a member of YMCA but I have enrolled many courses offered by YMCA without much difficulties.

I've no idear for the enrollment situation for the summer swimming course. My son's swimming course will be ended in early July.

My son has joined the YMCA programmes since he was two; e.g. Toddler's World, summer playgroup, Oratory training, Judo tots and English talktown!

I can say that the YMCA's Toddler's world programme is very good and it helped my son a lot in English!

ryancat, My son also attended Toddler's World at very young age (19 months). He has just turned 3 and I would appeciate if you can comment on English Talktown. Thanks.

My son just have had his 3rd lesson of English Talktown (for age 4-5) last Sat. I really don't know what's going on in the class since I can't stay inside the classroom!

My son just told me that he likes class and he always bring some worksheets back after class.

I take this course for my son just because I want to provide him with more chance to speak in English! I think you should agreed that the Toddler's World did make a good job in training kids' English standard!

my kid is also in the Talktown Age 3-4 and swimming course. I find their tutors are nice too. Would like to seek opinion for the summer playgroup 3-4. Any comments? i know details will be mail to member on may 18.

Non-members can also enrol on clases, but members have priority in application.

i.e. members can apply for courses within a certain period 1st, then if and when there are vacancies left any member of the general public can apply after a specified date until classes start.

For some courses, e.g. swimming, current participants who are members can re-enrol 1st, before the course invite applications from members who are not current participants.
