Yes there are kids from Yuen Long as there's a Nanny bus to Kentville.
We are from Kam Sheung Road, there are about 5-6 kids from here.
We take the MTR now, but soon will be taking them by car so they can take a nap in the car.

It takes us about 50 mins from home to the school by MTR.
If you drive, it should take about 35 mins.

My K2 boy attends phonic's class in YMCA.
I read them English books & talk mostly English to them at home, no other English classes.
No classes for my K1 boy yet, he's too young.

We'll try our luck with the popular DSS primary schools, otherwise we'll fall back on my husband's old school - Ma Tau Chung Gov.

What about you? Are planning on letting your boy study in Kowloon rather than Yuen Long/NT?

I live in Yuen Long too near Fairview Park area.  My daughter is in K2 now.  I drove her to school when she was in K1 and wait for her off school.  Now i drive her to school only and then she takes nanny bus home.  A few KV students are living in this area and they take nanny bus too.  They are very happy and make friends as they are in different class.

My boy will get into K1 in 2013 and I'm thinking of applying for KV and SC (and of course, some kindergartens in YL as well).   I heard rumours like, 'home address in NT West would make it much harder to get offers from Kln Tong kindergartens', what do u guys think about it? Is that true?

can you pls share where i can find nanny bus info for KV? as i live in Fanling NT, and thinking to apply KV for K1 but not sure do they have nanny bus to this area if not where is the closet? thanks

Hi,
We're in Kam Tin (yuen Long), we take the boys by car so we don't know of any nanny buses in Fanling, sorry.
Maybe you can start a new topic & ask Fanling Mums.

Home Address NT West won't affect your application to Kln Tong KG.  But they might ask you how to take kids to school during the interview.  I was being asked on this at that time.  Luckily my daughter was accepted in 1st round.  Fanling also has nanny bus, no worries!  You will receive a lot of name cards at school entrance during the day of interview.
