Well, I think it's all depends on the things that you would like to bring for study. If you wanna bring a smaller luggage for easy handle, you can consider to buy some clothes over in the States.

26' is the best size. size for 30' is good, but will be easily overweight (there is a cap on the weight per luggage).

Clothings and even blanket (even "Down" ones) are cheaper there if you shop in the Factory Outlet.
