Does anyone know when the application process commences?

Usually application forms will be available for download from their website www.shck.edu.hk in November.

Filled applications along with supporting documentation will need to be submitted in-person, usually in the first week of December (Friday + Saturday).

Most parents would choose to hand them in on Friday morning before they go to work, I assume. Do expect the whole process to take about near two hours if you choose to line up in such time frame. Saturday is usually faster.

Interviews will likely take place on the first Saturday of January.

Logically the interview time is allocated according to the time of submission. So, that means the earlier you submitted, then you have a better chance to secure a morning interview (which some parents prefer). This may also explains why so many people would choose to queue up on Friday morning.

However, based on the experience, morning interviews may also be arranged after all the original interview slots are filled. It seems that the cycle will begin from the morning sessions again until they are filled. So, you may get morning interviews on Saturday in the past couple years but this is not secured.

btw, just wonder is it a bit too early to ask about this?

I worried not many parents can read it and I just have to answer this over and over and over...... again

其實交表唔駛同人逼架,一早去排隊無意思... 曾經見過有老人家六點幾就去排除,真係好辛苦架.. 但機會同人一樣的, 總之係學校收表時間到就得喇..以前我會下午先去... 清晒無乜人先交,唔駛等丫麻.. 不過呢幾年既情況,咩時段會小D人, ian 應該會清楚D

shck 係早交表, 早interview架, 所以allow better planning, 家長可以就返小朋友習慣....

There are no more afternoon schedule for forms submission so parents can only choose to submit on Friday or Saturday (8:30am to 11am). Friday will be busy so if prefer to spend time to queue, Saturday is the better option as I mentioned before.

wat if my gal is 2008 small gal? Can I apply K1 or i can only apply K2插班生位?

2008 which month? I remember I notice the age range begin from October or November of the previous year, during form submission last year. Alternatively, 插班 is another option (or keep knocking the door).

my gal is end of Oct ar.

I wonder if they would accept our application for K1.

I am sorry I really cannot remember which month they put......

Extra big B is not common in this kindergarten. On the contrary, small Bs are more common here so if you ask me, the chance is better to try K2 (or keep knocking K1). Often time, we have students secretly attending here and other IS the same time. One or two of them may leave after school starts. (Of course I cannot predict if this happen every year)

haha, let's not discuss on this topic! It is so sensitive!

I guess this is parents' choice and I respected that since there are differences on kids. Some can handle it while some can't. It is rarely found in the past but seems there are more families doing so. But these are still minority cases.

The school don't know about this!
